The robo phone calls blitz starts. Got a robo message on answering machine tonight from R.Brooks saying to vote for him, Weitz and other for council, and that he paid for this message. Caller I.D. says 201-345-4962 Ridgewood, NJ.. Report call as Spam. Following same tactics as someone else we all know who’s used robo calls, signs in CBD planters to vote yes for garage, signs in tree wells. I will Not vote for them.
Rather, I am voting for the candidates who will put Ridgewood and the residents in their best interest – Voigt, Walsh and Hache. Matter of fact, concerned citizens and supporters of Voigt, Walsh and Hache, went respectfully door to door in neighborhoods today with flyers to remind people to vote on May 10th. Thank you, well received.
Mr Weitz has never been to a Council meeting and has never voted in a Ridgewood municipal election in his 3 years living here. Ironic that his first vote as a resident will be for himself. Kind of sums up the mindset of the 3 developer funded candidates.
How about the Robo call I received yesterday fro your Mr. Hache? That does not count?
Rurik, while you are here, would you answer why Evan Weitz was appointed as chair without any prior experience within any other committee of the village? Why was Ms Janice Willett who was the vice chair, not promoted to chair? Who planted Weitz to make which projects a success?
I believe he was on the committee for a bit before being appointed chair but your point is the same. Moved to town and gets appointed to the FAC fairly quickly, then surpasses Ms. Willett. Gwen Hauck made sure he was certified as a candidate before pulling her own candidacy…hmmm

Weitz is horrible. Says Village Council meetings go too late for him and he can’t come to them because he works. Yes, what an awesome choice. If he gets elected maybe he can subcontract to Aronsohn and let Aronsohn attend meetings and vote in his stead.
Brooks is a snake in the grass liar. Completely hiding the fact that his wife works for the Village, making a ton of money off our tax dollars and doing a crappy job of it at that. Sold us down the river to Valley.
And then there is Willett. She is Gwenn reincarnate. Attractive but stupid. Has no interest in running for Village Council. Has stated that she does not care whether she gets elected. Says Linwood Avenue needs to be widened to four lanes near the hospital.
Come on people, why would anyone even consider voting for this 2020 Hot mess???4

Let’s have a little respect for all who want to serve. There are good ideas to take from everyone, no matter their preferences.
Rurik – 10:39 here – you don’t have an answer otherwise you don’t stay away in answering to anonymous. It’s a fact, Weitz is going to be proxy for someone else who is promoting him so fast in this town.
Rurik- How come you refuse to answer ANY questions regarding Valley ? How can you even mention the word “courage” when you have shown to have none ? Credibility = zero.

I agree with REB. We need to stick to issues and why we agree or disagree with candidates. Personal attacks do not advance any agenda.

Journalists are skeptical by instinct. They ask a lot of questions and do not reiterate press releases. Unfortunately, the people who write the news around here are not journalists.
