Ridgewood Nj, The Village Council’s move to increase taxes in the Village brings up an old issue that never seems to die . OPRA Request submitted to the Clerk’s Office on April 24, 2015 regarding: Property tax payment history from 1/1/2012 through 4/1/2015, date payment received, amount of payment, interest charged, if any, for blocks & lots #3214-23, #2011-3, #1601-27, #2901-2, #4201-22.02.
The OPRA request indicated Council Women Gwenn Hauck has had issues in the past paying her property taxes on time .
In case you did not know, generally payments are considered late only they are received after the 10th calendar day; if day 10 falls on a weekend, it’s moved to the next day of business at Village Hall.
She can’t even remember whether she gave $10k-$25k to The Valley Hospital, what makes you think she can remember whether she sent a check for peanuts to the Village’s tax collector?
Duke I mean daddy sent the check late.
Too busy feeding the coffers of Vally to pay her taxes. She is a piece of work that Gwenn.
If she paid the interest it’s a non-issue.
Does anybody think she actually pays her own taxes, cleans her own bathrooms, makes her own reservations? C’mon.

i disagree with Gwenn on a lot of things – – but frankly I find this point to be irrelevant. It detracts from the real issues facing our town at the moment like clean drinking water, playing fields, the destruction of the downtown.
Creepy – someone has so little to contribute to our Village that they actually thought it relevant to file an OPRA request on Gwenn’s property taxes? How juvenile and stupid, and a waste of Village employee time even filling this request. Get over your high school jealousy and find something better to do with your time.
The point is if she can’t effectively manage her personal finances, she obviously was never qualified to help manage the town’s.
Dukes check was late…it’s pretty simple. This woman and her husband live the Ridgewood life off of someone else’s dime, like many many other residents in this penny antie millionaire village. Looks good from the outside but just peel back that first layer and all the ugly is there for all to see.
