Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood residents got their first look the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Design Assistance Program on August 12th .Lets hope these improvements are more soundly implemented than the “suicide bike lane” and traffic easing disasters of the past witch created dangerous congestion for Ridge school and Ridgewood School students .

The “suicide bike lane” and traffic easing disasters were driven by grant money with little thought to their practical application ,in the real word.

The purpose of this project is to support Safe Routes to School (SRTS) safety and access improvements for students who walk and bike to school by connecting and improving sidewalks within the Village of Ridgewood including adding new sidewalk sections, reducing roadway widths to improve crosswalk safety, and installing driver feedback signs in select areas. The project Design and Construction cost is funded by federal funds administered through NJDOT Local Aid Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program.

·   Hawes Elementary

·   George Washington Middle School

  1. Just more BS to make driving more inconvenient in another misguided effort to stop people from driving those evil cars.
It will NOT make students any safer than they already are (which is VERY VERY VERY safe in Ridgewood)

But it makes for EXCELLENT Virtue Signaling, so your woke neighbors are all in.
