Jonathan Holloway Named 21st President of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey

New Brunswick NJ, Jonathan Holloway, provost of Northwestern University and an eminent historian, has been appointed the 21st president of Rutgers, The State University.

The Rutgers Board of Governors, with the advice and consent of the Rutgers Board of Trustees, today approved Holloway’s appointment at a joint meeting of the two boards. The Board of Governors also appointed Holloway as a University Professor and Distinguished Professor.

Ridgewood NJ, The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Jan. 20, 2020, marks the 25th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy. Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off,” MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities. The Corporation for National and Community service has been charged to lead this effort for the last quarter century.

Governor Murphy Signs Legislative Package Protecting the Affordable Care Tax in New Jersey

Trenton NJ, Governor Phil Murphy today signed a package of bills to safeguard the provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in New Jersey. The bills, which will codify into state law the basic protections for health care consumers that are part of the Affordable Care Act, include protections for no-cost preventative care and contraception, prohibit exclusions for pre-existing conditions, allow children to stay on their parents’ plan until age 26, and incorporate mental health and maternity care as part of essential benefits, among others. The Governor highlighted the importance of these bills during an armchair discussion with Hackensack Meridian Health Chief Executive Officer Bob Garret.

2nd Middlesex County Water Inspector Arrested for Submitting false water samples for testing

South River NJ,  Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal announced that the former licensed operator of the South River Water Department, the public drinking water system for South River Borough in Middlesex County, pleaded guilty today to submitting false water samples and records to a lab that tests such samples for coliform bacteria for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).

Robert Baker, 57, of Mine Hill, N.J., pleaded guilty today to a violation of the Safe Drinking Water Act, a third-degree crime, before Superior Court Judge Benjamin S. Bucca Jr. in Middlesex County. Under the plea agreement, the state will recommend that Baker be sentenced to 364 days in the county jail and a term of probation. Baker was suspended from his position after he was charged, and he later resigned. He is permanently barred from public employment in New Jersey. Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 24, but Baker was immediately remanded to custody today to begin serving time in the county jail.

NEW YORK NY, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) served four immigration subpoenas Friday on the New York Department of Corrections (NYDOC) requesting information on multiple illegal aliens who were criminally arrested in New York City, and yet under New York’s non-cooperation policies officials have refused to honor ICE detainers or even provide ICE with information about the release dates of criminal alien public safety threats. Issuance of these immigration subpoenas was necessary because the NYDOC has continued to ignore ICE’s requests for information and cooperation.

BRIDGE-GATE 2.0: NJDOT Orders Timely Road Construction Impacting Trump Rally

Trenton NJ, it appears that the Trump Rally at Wildwoods Convention Center  will be impacted by some very timely road construction ordered by the NJDOT  can you say Bridge-gate 2.0 or perhaps Wildwood-gate .

Route 47/S. Delsea Drive to be closed and detoured for priority roadway repair beginning next week in Cape May County Closure in place until June to repair sinkholes undermining the road

From the NJ DOT , New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced that Route 47/ S Delsea Drive will be closed and detoured beginning Monday for priority roadway repairs in Middle Township, Cape May County. 

Beginning at 7 a.m., Monday, January 20, NJDOT’s contractor Mount Construction is scheduled to close and detour Route 47 in both directions between Indian Trail Road and Springers Mill Road for priority repairs to a culvert over Dias Creek resulting in sinkholes that are compromising the roadway. The project is anticipated to be completed by June 2020. Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses. The following signed detour will be in place throughout the duration of the project:

Trenton NJ, thousands descended on the state capitol ,honking horns, chanting “My GOD, My Choice,” “Vote No!”, “Kill the Bill”, “We Will Vote You Out”, intermittently reciting the LORD’s Prayer, displaying a giant American flag, with megaphones and placards, thousands of opponents of a Bill that mandated vaccinations without informed written parental consent, and that also eliminated religious exemptions, surrounded the New Jersey State House and Senate chambers until long after darkness fell. A new day in New Jersey! An army of Milennials, Generation Z, fighting for parental rights and freedom of religion, has arrived for such a time as this!i Let not the sun set on this movement heading in the “right” direction!
