Ridgewood NJ, Green Fusion, Ridgewood’s  vegan and vegetarian fine dining spot, is transforming in an exciting way! The restaurant is partnering with a company to convert their space into a dynamic market hall, soon to be called Ridgewood Eatery.

This expansion means that Green Fusion’s vegan menu and gluten-free options will continue, both for dine-in and take-out. But that’s not all! The new Ridgewood Eatery will also feature:

  • A chai café with vegan options
  • A juice bar serving protein shakes (with vegan choices available)
  • A diner offering breakfast and brunch, with both meat and vegan options

The restaurant is committed to ensuring no cross-contamination between vegan/vegetarian and meat dishes. Separate cooking vessels, fryers, and ovens will be used for each menu.

The business will have a soft opening on September 10th, with a grand opening scheduled later in the month. Be sure to stop by and check out Ridgewood’s newest dining destination!

Location: Ridgewood Eatery 22 Oak Street, Ridgewood

“Dear all, we have an important announcement to make.

Green Fusion, since the day we opened (2019 March)has been blessed with wonderful customers like you who loved and appreciated our creative menu. It’s been a good 5 years. We have had our challenges along the way and although we were able to face most of them we are at a point now where our bank balances cannot keep us floating anymore. Unfortunately. Hence the change. Green fusion is currently looking out for a new location/collaboration to open a new spot either in the Bergen or in the shoreline area.

Till then..
We are taking a chance, in partnering with a company who is going to convert our location into a kind of, sort of.. market hall or a food call if you want to call it or like a modern diner.
So, here is how green fusion is going to operate — >
Green fusion will still continue to serve the vegan menu along with gluten free options, both dine in and take out and catering out of this location.
Green Fusion current location will now be renamed to Ridgewood Eatery @ridgewood_eatery and the market place or food hall operating under this name will be @greenfusionnj @sunroom.plants and we have a chai cafe (with vegan option) and a juice bar (protein shakes with vegan option) and a Diner which will have breakfast and brunch with meat and vegan options all under one roof.
This is how it will operate. A separate cooking vessels and fryer for Vegan/Vegetarian menu – Green Fusion. Hence no cross contamination or allergens.
Separate oven, cooking and frying for the diner menu.
Overall, this facility is no more a vegan & vegetarian only location. It will share space with an eatery which will serve meat.
We have however planned out to separate the areas for vegan only group and large group with vegan only members can call ahead and book tables and can be blocked accordingly.
Happy to answer all questions.
Soft opening on September 10th 2024
Grand opening later this month.”

  1. Contamination is strong word! It’s funny because, whereas I can be meat, am meat, I can’t eat meat as a vegan/vegetarian. Even though when I eat non-meat, that non-meat becomes a part of me, which is meat. It doesn’t stay vegetable, kids. The whole process goes beyond contamination. That broccoli can’t touch meat, but that broccoli, in my stomach, through chemical transmogrification, will become the very thing that would have contaminated it outside of my body.

Green Fusion’s dishes are super tasty nonetheless.
