Hackensack NJ, on Tuesday, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco presented his 9th State of the County Address. In his remarks, Tedesco celebrated the completion of major administrative initiatives including the implementation of Bergen County’s own Emergency Medical Services Ambulatory Unit, the opening of the Bergen County Training Annex at the Law and Public Safety Institute, and the completion of five large-scale park upgrades including the renovations of the Darlington Driving Range and grand opening of the Bergen County Rowing Center in Riverside County Park.

West Nyack NY,  the Palisades Center megamall in West Nyack could be headed for a sale to satisfy its owner’s debts. Wilmington Trust, acting as a trustee for CMBS bondholders, filed in New York Supreme Court, New York County, to foreclose on the 2.2 million-square-foot shopping and entertainment complex, claiming Syracuse-based owner Pyramid Management Group defaulted on a $418.5 million loan tied to the mall property.

Six Harmon Stores in Bergen County to Close

Paramus NJ, Bed Bath and Beyond is shutting down all of its Harmon stores , just weeks after announcing a possible bankruptcy filing. The company confirmed plans to shutter its last 50 Harmon Face Values stores across the country. Exact dates for store closings have yet to be announced.

For most commuters and shoppers living in Bergen County this fact has been obvious for a very long time.
