Rair Lawn Nj, on October 3rd at 1:27 pm Fair Lawn Police Officer Mark Roskowsky & Police Officer Stephen Buskiewicz responded to 20-21 Wagaraw Road on a report of a female kicking and then jumping on a parked vehicle. When the police units arrived, the female attempted to run away but was caught by the officers. In the process of securing Allison Diaz, age 43 of Clifton, she kicked P.O. Roskowsky in the leg and kicked P.O. Buskiewicz in the face before she was placed under arrest. She was charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and criminal mischief, then was transported to New Bridge Medical Center for an evaluation.
Fair Lawn NJ, on September 10th at 10pm, Fair Lawn Police responded to the parking lot of 14-25 Plaza Road where a 23-year-old male from Fair Lawn was found with a stab wound in the abdomen. Det. Geovanny Buitron & Det. Justin DiGuglielmo took over the investigation and arrested Carlos Rodriguez, age 28 of Fair Lawn, after identifying, then stopping him as he walked on Abbott Road at High Street. He was released after being charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Fair Lawn NJ, this morning Fair Lawn Police responded to an arborist who had broken his left leg after cutting a limb that came back and crushed it. The victim was stuck about 40 feet in the air on a limb that was unsteady.

Fair Lawn NJ. Former Chairman of the Bergen County Board of Commissioners, John D. Mitchell, officially joined the Care Plus NJ, Inc. (“CarePlus”) volunteer Board of Trustees this February.
Fair Lawn NJ, one (1) person sustained a non-life threatening injury during a reported three (3) vehicle, Friday evening, 09/30, crash in front of the Oceanos Restaurant, located in the 200 block of Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. Two (2) vehicles were heavily damaged and removed from the scene by separate tow trucks. A third vehicle involved, reported to be a black Audi sedan with heavy front end damage, allegedly fled the crash site and was being sought by Fair Lawn Police. Fair Lawn EMS also responded to the incident.
Fair Lawn NJ, Fair Lawn Police, Fair Lawn Fire Department, the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad, and Fair Lawn EMS personnel & vehicles responded to a single passenger car rollover crash at the intersection of Kershner Place and Prospect Street late Thursday night, 09/15. The driver of the vehicle, which rolled completely over and landed “right side up,” was transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s Main Campus with unspecified, non-life threatening, crash related injuries. Although a utility pole was destroyed during the crash, there were no apparent power outages in the area. A traffic control sign was also wiped out. Firefighters and Rescue Squad personnel attended to fluid spilled from the crashed vehicle, which was removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. No word from police on the scene as to what may have caused the driver to lose control and hit the utility pole.

Fair Lawn NJ, on Saturday July 23rf 6:38 pm Fair Lawn Det. Geovanny Buitron, while sitting in his police vehicle on Brookside Avenue at Margaret Court, observed a vehicle driving at a high speed through that neighborhood and pursued the vehicle until it stopped at a residence on Berdan Avenue, where the operator attempted to run off before he was stopped by the detective. The operator, a 16-year-old male from Fair Lawn, was released to a parent at his residence. He was charged on a juvenile petition to family court with eluding & resisting arrest.
Fair Lawn NJ, No injuries were reported following a crash in which a passenger car slammed head on into a Quick Mart convenience store located at 17-11 Broadway, Fair Lawn on Tuesday morning, 08/23, at approximately 10 AM. Fair Lawn Police, Fair Lawn Heavy Rescue, and Fair Lawn Fire Company #1 responded to the incident. A flatbed tow truck removed the vehicle from the scene. There was no emergent structural damage to the store.
Fair Lawn NJ, a vehicle pursuit by multiple Passaic County Sheriff’s Department patrol units terminated in a crash on the entrance ramp to Route 208 northbound from Maple Avenue northbound in Fair Lawn at approximately 11:00 PM on Sunday, 08/21, One (1) occupant of the pursued vehicle was taken into custody for an unknown reason. The subject matter vehicle, a 4-door VW or Audi, was impounded by Sheriff’s Department officers and removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Glen Rock Police and Fair Lawn Police officers assisted with traffic control. A Glen Rock EMS crew evaluated multiple occupants of crashed vehicle, but there were no injuries that required transportation to a hospital. A traffic control device was damaged in the crash.

Fair Lawn NJ, Columbia Bank is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 2022 Historically Black College or University (HBCU) Scholarship Ride, an annual 216 mile bike ride from Newark, New Jersey to Howard University in Washington, DC. The program was instituted to raise scholarship monies awarded to high school graduates in Newark who will attend an HBCU, and help bridge the gap between a deserving student’s desire for educational excellence, and the ability to pay for that experience.
Fair Lawn NJ, the Fair Lawn Police Department recognizes catalytic converter thefts are on the rise. In an effort to help prevent theft and track the thieves and scrap yards in the event of a theft, the Fair Lawn Police Departmen announces a pilot program for Borough residents to have their catalytic converters etched and registered. We are surveying the communities’ level of interest in participating in this program. If sufficient interest is received, the program will move forward and dates will be scheduled. The process consists of an application of a high temperature tamper proof decal combined with acid etching of the vehicle’s catalytic converter(s).
