Pennacchio, since May, has been calling for a Senate Select Committee with subpoena powers to scrutinize the Murphy Administration’s policies and decisions impacting coronavirus in long-term care facilities.

Paramus NJ, , Senator Joe Pennacchio called the four nursing home bills signed Wednesday by Governor Murphy “a legislative distraction that fails to address the root causes of failings that accounted for more than 7,000 deaths in nursing homes.”
“The Governor continues to whitewash the systemic problems that plague facilities,” said Pennacchio. “State government policies led to the deaths of one of every 10 residents in nursing homes, and Murphy refuses to defend those decisions.”

The suit was filed against the New Jersey Attorney General (NJAG), several employees in the NJAG’s Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office (collectively, the “State Defendants”) and two New Jersey chiropractors.

The retail chain says it’s winding down its business, including all 13 stores across New York, New Jersey including the Bergen Town Center Mall in Paramus , Pennsylvania and Florida.

Paramus NJ, A minor arm injury was the only injury reported following a two (2) vehicle, Wednesday afternoon, 09/09, motor vehicle crash with rollover in front of an East Ridgewood Avenue, Paramus home. Paramus Police, Paramus EMS, and Paramus Fire Department responded to the incident. A black Jaguar SUV rolled over on its roof and landed on the front lawn of a single family home after it collided with a red Toyota sedan. Both vehicles involved in the crash were towed from the scene by flatbed tow trucks.

Paramus NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of MICHAEL MASCARO III (DOB: 2/16/1989; single; plumber) of 137 Jefferson Avenue, Emerson, NJ, on charges of Leaving The Scene Of A Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident and Hindering Apprehension. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti, and the Paramus Police Department under the direction of Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg.

Paramus NJ, the Bergen County Prosecutor and the Paramus Police department are requesting the public’s help in any information regarding a fatal hit and run collision .
At approximately 6;31 am on September 3rd the Paramus Police received a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a motor vehicle on Forrest Road South of Soldier hill Road . Upon arrival officers observed the victim a 58 year old female on the edge of the road way with serious injuries she was transported to Hackensack Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased .

Paramus NJ, Lord & Taylor announced Thursday that all of its 38 stores will permanently close after it originally planned to shutter only about two dozen.
Livingston, Rockaway and Wayne stores closures were already announced . Its six other New Jersey locations, Bridgewater, Freehold Township, Lawrenceville, Westfield and two locally in Paramus (Garden State Plaza and Fashion Center) will now also be closed.
Exact closing dates have not yet been announced. Liquidation sales have also been launched at all stores, including on its website.

Paramus NJ, the Justice Department requested COVID-19 data from the governors of states that issued orders which may have resulted in the deaths of thousands of elderly nursing home residents. New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan required nursing homes to admit COVID-19 patients to their vulnerable populations, often without adequate testing.
For example, on March 25, 2020, New York ordered: “No resident shall be denied re-admission or admission to [a nursing home] solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19. [Nursing homes] are prohibited from requiring a hospitalized resident who is determined medically stable to be tested for COVID-19 prior to admission or readmission.”

Deals will be up to 40% off, the company said Thursday morning, as it released a complete list of those shops set to liquidate.
