New Vocal Booth has been Added to the RHS Recording Studio

Ridgewood NJ, every generation defines it self with music , established in 2017 with generous support from the Ridgewood Education Foundation, the RHS Recording studio is staffed and managed by the RHS Music Production Club. The studio is located in room 145 (near the band room on the first floor) of Ridgewood High School. The RHS Recording Studio is a fully equipped recording studio offering a recording environment for bands and groups looking to record a demo, mixtape, single or an album.

RIDGEWOOD SCHOOLS WILL HAVE A DELAYED OPENING – FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 25

Ridgewood NJ, Due to the inclement weather expected tomorrow morning, all Ridgewood Schools will operate under the delayed opening schedule tomorrow, February 25.  Under the Delayed Opening Schedule, the school day will begin two hours later than usual, and school bus schedules will operate two hours later. Elementary school children who have not ordered lunch must bring a bag lunch to school. There will not be sufficient time for children to go home for lunch. For students who walk to school, please dress warmly and allow extra time and caution while walking.

NEW JERSEY PARENTS SEEK BOLD CHANGE IN EDUCATION & MORE ACADEMIC SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS

Ridgewood NJ, JerseyCAN, a nonprofit advocating for high-quality schools for all New Jersey students, released today the most comprehensive statewide review of New Jersey public school parents’ concerns and priorities in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.  JerseyCAN partnered with the organization Parent Impact on this poll.  Conducted by the Global Strategy Group, the poll is the latest in a series of efforts developed by JerseyCAN’s statewide NJ KIDS CAN’T WAIT parent initiative, which launched last fall to provide New Jersey families with needed information, guidance, and tools to address students’ needs.   Since the campaign’s launch, JerseyCAN has invested in extensive statewide media, created a one-stop-shopping online resource for parents, and partnered with local teachers to drive meaningful engagement with parents across the state.

Hit-and-run in Graydon South Parking Lot Leaves Two Ridgewood High School with Minor Injuries

Ridgewood NJ, Two (2) female Ridgewood High School students sustained minor injuries during a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash in the Graydon South parking lot on Thursday afternoon, 02/10. Both victims were evaluated at the scene by Ridgewood EMS, Ridgewood Fire Department EMTs and refused further medical attention. The victims were able to provide a detailed description of the fleeing vehicle to investigating Ridgewood police officers.

Ridgewood High School a Cappella Groups Competed in the International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA) Mid-Atlantic Quarterfinal

Ridgewood NJ, three Ridgewood High School a cappella groups the (Rhapsodies, AcaBellas, and Maroon Men) competed this past weekend in the International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA) Mid-Atlantic Quarterfinal in Neptune, NJ. Sanjna Rajagopalan from the AcaBellas earned Outstanding Arrangement for her arrangement “Bills, Bills, Bills” and the Maroon Men placed 2nd advancing on to Semifinals on March 26th.
