Trenton NJ, Senator Declan O’Scanlon is warning that Governor Murphy’s proposal to replace two tax rebate programs (the longstanding Homestead Rebate Program and the “middle class rebate program” created last year) with a new “ANCHOR” rebate will reduce existing renters’ rebates by up to 50 percent, meaninglessly increase total funding for rebates, and won’t be distributed for 13 months (until May of 2023).

TRENTON NJ, a Lebanon, Indiana, man was convicted today on four counts of sex offenses, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced.

Randal Wise, 45, was convicted of attempted online enticement of a minor, transportation of child pornography, possession of child pornography, and attempted transfer of obscenity to a minor following a three-day trial before U.S. District Judge Michael A. Shipp.

Most CPAs Surveyed Say Governor Murphy’s Proposed $49 Billion Budget Will Leave the Economy Worse

Roseland NJ, nearly 55 percent of the more than 300 certified public accountants (CPAs) surveyed by the New Jersey Society of CPAs (NJCPA) said that Governor Murphy’s $48.9 billion proposed budget for the 2023 fiscal year will leave the state’s economy either marginally worse or significantly worse over the long term. This compares with 24 percent who believed it would stay the same and more than 20 percent who thought it would make the state’s economic situation better.
