Twp . of Washington NJ, MOSQUITO SPRAYING TOMORROW – 10/6/21 – The BC Mosquito Control will be performing an early morning ULV Truck Spray in the Township on Wednesday October 6, 2021 between the hours of 4-6 AM. They will be spraying duet adulticide to eliminate active, adult mosquitoes as well as Vectobac larvacide to help control the mosquito larvae. As a precaution, please keep your windows closed. In the event that it rains, the spray will be postponed until the following day. Twp. of Washington NJ, two (2) injuries were reported following the Monday morning, 10/04, collision between a pickup truck and an ambulette in the 700 block of Washington Avenue, Washington Township, a collision that resulted in one of the vehicles being pushed onto the front lawn of a nearby single family home. The ambulette’s driver was transported to a local hospital by a Westwood Volunteer Ambulance Corp rig, and an elderly female patient who was in the ambulette was removed from the scene and taken to a hospital by a private ambulance service. The pickup truck’s driver was uninjured. Both damaged vehicles were removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Washington Township Police is investigating the incident.

Twp of Washington NJ, on the morning of September 11th at around 9:30 the Twp. of Washington fire and Police departments were dispatched to the second roll-over motor vehicle accident in 3 days. Fortunately injuries appear to be minor in nature.

Twp.of Washington NJ, Wednesday morning the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported truck fire on the Garden State Parkway North. Due to the fact that there are no fire hydrants on the Parkway an additional Engine was requested from Paramus Fire Co. 1 for additional water supply. Great job by our volunteers with a quick knockdown of the fire.

Twp of Washington NJ, a trailer loaded with scrap metal buckled and dropped to the roadway while being pulled by a tractor southbound in the 500 block of Pascack Road, Washington Township on Tuesday morning, 07/13. No injuries were reported in the incident. Washington Township Police closed a portion of Pascack Road while the trailer’s contents were off-loaded before it was removed from the scene by a heavy duty wrecker. Police at the scene indicated that several summons would likely be issued in connection with the mishap.
