Twp of Washington NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the conviction of PATRICK J. CAMILLI, 59, of Twp of Washington in connection with the murder of Mary E. Huber on October 23, 2021. After a four-week trial that began in September 2024 before the Honorable James X. Sattely, P.J.S.C. in Bergen County Superior Court, the defendant was found guilty. Sentencing is scheduled for November 22, 2024.

Emerson NJ, a serious two-vehicle crash on Old Hook Road in Emerson on Tuesday morning, September 3rd, led to a significant emergency response. Four ambulances, two paramedic vehicles, and two fire department heavy rescue teams were dispatched to the scene in the 400 block of Old Hook Road.

CANTILLO of Paterson, NJ on charges of possession with the intent to distribute narcotics and drug distribution. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Westwood Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Pontillo.

Westwood Cyclist Badly Injured In Cycling Accident Thanks Police after 60-mile Bike Ride

Westwood NJ, on April 16, 2023, the Westwood Police Department responded to a report of an accident involving a vehicle and a bicyclist at the intersection of Washington and Mountain Avenues. This accident involved very serious injuries suffered by the cyclist, It was a scene that likely will not ever be forgotten by those who responded to render aid. Following the accident, follow ups were made to determine the condition of the cyclist and thoughts and prayers were offered to the young man, whose life appeared to have taken a tragic turn.

Teen Crashes Tesla Through Fence Tumbles Down Stream Embankment in Westwood

Westwood NJ, an 18-year-old driver crashed through a chain link fence and down a stream embankment after losing control of her Tesla sedan at the intersection of Mill Street and 1st Avenue, in Westwood late Tuesday afternoon, 05/23. Neither the driver nor her two (2) male passengers were injured in the mishap. Two (2) tow trucks were involved in recovering the white colored Tesla from its predicament. Westwood Police responded to the incident along with a Hillsdale EMS ambulance.

We haven’t asked for a recount. We don’t believe we are competing with ANY other town. And apparently, neither does the film industry. We’ve had a number of location scouts rave about Westwood as a visual backdrop and as a “film friendly“ place to work. The Borough issues film permits through the Clerk’s Office. The shoots are coordinated with Westwood Police Department to ensure everyone’s safety should traffic control be needed.”
