Minneapolis riot

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Minneapolis MN,  The federal government has denied a request from Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for federal funds to rebuild and repair fire damage from the unrest that followed George Floyd’s death.

Walz had asked President Donald Trump on July 2 to declare a “major disaster” in a request to the Federal Emergency Management Agency because of extensive damage to public infrastructure following the death of Floyd on May 25 after a white Minneapolis police officer pressed his knee against the handcuffed Black man’s neck for nearly eight minutes. Four since-fired officers have been charged in the case.

Animal Get Into Your House? Try New Day Pest Control for Same Day Treatment

NJ residents have been reporting an increase in rodents and wildlife in and around their homes since the covid 19 quarantine has closed restaurants and other sources of food.

When restaurants were open rats, racoons and possums all had good eating away from our homes.   With restaurants closed for the last few months a lot of these pests have migrated closer to our homes to search for food.

I have worked with Pest Control in the past and highly recommend them if you are having an issue with pests and need pest control services in NJ.

They are very nice people, affordable and are locally owned, not a franchise, and they literally show up immediately.

If you are having a pest control problem with rodents, wildlife, roaches, bees, ants..any animal or insect I highly recommend them and I am not the only one, you can check out some of their reviews for pest control in nj here.

Reader calls it “Trump Derangement Syndrome”

screamer

“We had 24/7 TDS from the MSM following Trump’s victory. This was right up to the beginning of this year. 2020 is the election year, so TDS was ramped up even more. You couldn’t turn on CNN without some talking head ranting about what a dangerous maniac Trump was. The Russia hoax that went an all that time kind of fizzled out when we all found out there was nothing behind the curtain. However, we then got big into Impeachment. That turned out to be a big nothingburger. Then, of course, Covid. The party of Science. We were all lectured by them about the stupidity of Republicans and a President who didn’t wear a facemask. He had blood on his hands. All the cases and deaths were his fault. We can’t re-open the economy because it’s too dangerous. Then George Floyd happened. All of a sudden, hundreds of thousands of marching protesters were “very brave” for putting their lives at risk because of a greater calling. Isn’t it somehow odd that a few weeks after these massive gatherings that our Covid numbers are shooting up again? As for the people who were destroying property, yes, these were a small minority. Meanwhile, the Hollywood elitists were fronting their bail. To top all this off, out of everyone they could have chosen to be their candidate, they chose Joe Biden? Holy crap. Joe F*&ing Biden? I know their argument is “anyone is better than Trump”, but really? Joe Biden? The man is clearly not firing on all cylinders. Obama had doubts about him when choosing a VP, due to the gaffe factor, and that was what, 12 years ago. What boggles my mind is that this imbecile is leading Trump in the polls. But then again, so was Hillary.”

Preventing Setbacks in Running Your Business – Here’s How

1584724669 8489

Owning your own business means that, for the most part, you do not get any time off; especially in the early days when you still do not have a team working in full force, you will notice that there is always something going on that requires your attention. This is one of the reasons why business owners usually suffer from burnout and stress. To them, slowing down is a luxury that they cannot afford. However, if you are looking to stay in business for a long time, you will soon realize that this “always-on” mindset is unrealistic and unsustainable. The best thing you can do is set the right expectations, which includes accounting for the failures you are bound to come across every now and then.

Reader Endorses Frank Pallotta in the July 7th Republican Primary

Republican Candidate for Congress Frank Pallotta

Dear Editor,

I am writing to express my support for Frank Pallotta in the July 7th Republican Primary.  I have had the opportunity to get to know Frank over the last few years and am quite impressed.  He is a no-nonsense guy that listens to people, applies common sense solutions to the problems facing NJ-5, including high taxation, SALT, high-density overdevelopment amongst others.
