Newark NJ, well its official Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) announced today that he is running for president in 2020.

The New Jersey Democrat is known primary for his antics during the Supreme Court nomination hearing bizarrely claiming “this is the closest I’ll get to an ‘I am Spartacus’ moment.”

Senator Booker ,often referred to as Senator Twitter and former Newark, N.J., mayor made the announcement on the first day of Black History Month.

New Jersey Democrats Again Say No to Federal Worker Pay

let-them-eat-cake-7

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Washington DC, Once again House Democrats were given the opportunity to vote to pay government employees while Nancy Pelosi continues her tantrum and refuses to negotiate. But despite their rhetoric, Andy Kim and Mikie Sherrill joined their radical colleagues and voted to ensure that workers miss a second paycheck.

Democrats’ refusal, for a second time, to pay government workers shows once again that their priority is pleasing Nancy Pelosi, not working for their constituents’ well-being.

It seem New Jersey representatives “Andy Kim and Mikie Sherrill are more interested in partisan games than making sure their constituents get paid for their work. Democrats’ blind loyalty to Nancy Pelosi is taking money out of workers’ pockets, and it’s past time for it to end.” – NRCC Spokesman Michael McAdams

Ridgewood NJ, Among all the national championships, the English Premier League is the strongest; this season it witnesses the intense battle for the title. Manchester City, the current title holder, is fighting against Liverpool for the first place.

Both teams demonstrate bright and attacking football, thanks to which they managed to give an impressive start to the Premier League. At some point, the Reds managed to break away from their main pursuer by 7 points, but the defeat in the in-person match again revived the champion’s intrigue. And now it is revived with a new force.

However, despite this local failure, Liverpool managed to keep the first position in the standings and has every chance to win gold medals for the first time in 29 years. Here you can find the latest results from the world of various championships. The information here is 100% true.

Thanks to 777score.com.br – live football score, you can always stay up to date and not miss anything important for you.

Liverpools Success Factors in Championship Race

Both teams are in excellent shape, so anything can happen in the long tournament distance. However, since there will be no in-person matches for them, confrontations with weaker rivals come out on top. In this situation, the team of Jurgen Klopp has recently managed to improve themselves noticeably, which may be one of their trump cards. Also, the advantages of the Reds include:

  1. Lack of workload in cup tournaments (except for the Champions League). While the City plays in the Cup of England and the League, Liverpool’s athletes get additional time for rest. This helps them to better tune in for the upcoming matches and get the best result.
  2. Good lineup. During the summer, Liverpool strengthened its lines significantly, and all newcomers fitted into the team well. Thanks to this, the team game has become noticeably more balanced. Klopp also received more opportunities for rotation.
  3. Progress of leaders. Just over the past year, many Reds players have reached a qualitatively new level. Thanks to this, the team managed to take the first place in the standings. Shaqiri, Van Dyke, Mane and many others have ceased to be just promising athletes and have become real stars of world football.

Of course, it will be extremely difficult to keep the top position, but the team has everything necessary to finally realize the fans’ dream and win gold medals. We’ll see if Klopp’s squad succeeds in doing this this season, or if in May Manchester City will again be higher in the standings.

The How hard did aging hit you challenge ,just another big government conspiracy ?

Ridgewood NJ, we try to avoid these things but is the newest internet craze just another government crafted conspiracy? There have been dozens of these over the years. Remember the cinnamon challenge? The ice bucket challenge? That weird dress where everyone just had to let you know what color they thought it was. Yes, the list goes on and on. For 2019, we are starting out with something called “The How Hard Did Aging Hit You Challenge.”

“The How Hard Did Aging Hit You Challenge.” has caught fire on social media as we speak, and no doubt within hours, you are going to see tons of friends, co-workers and relatives taking to Facebook or their social media drug of choice to post before-and-after style pictures of them several years ago versus now. Like most of these challenges, you can look high and low, but you will never figure out just where this started.

The website “Common Sense Conspiracy ” suggests that the Fed’s have started the whole thing.  That’s right, a lot of people think the How Hard Did Aging Hit You Challenge may have been sanctioned by the US government.

But why you ask? What possibly could be the reason for the government to want to start a movement like this? That’s an easy one. You have most likely watched all the shows, CSI, NCIS  facial recognition is all the rage in the cyber-security world these days. Turn on any of your favorite CSI-style shows and you’ll see FBI or other agencies using cameras everywhere to scan faces and see who is going where in seconds.

The real world is not as easy. Yes, the Fed’s have the technology. Facebook has long identified faces and put them with names, albeit with help from their amazing base of users. No doubt the NSA, FBI, and CIA are using facial recognition more and more as the years go by. However, did you ever think about how these databases get populated?

Social Security Scam Alert Fraudsters Are spoofing Agency’s 1-800 number

social-security-card

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Washington DC, The Acting Inspector General of Social Security, Gale Stallworth Stone, is urging citizens to remain vigilant of telephone impersonation schemes that exploit the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) reputation and authority.

The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) continues to receive reports from across the country about fraudulent phone calls from people claiming to be from SSA.  Recent reports have indicated that unknown callers are using increasingly threatening language in these calls.

The callers state, due to improper or illegal activity with a citizen’s Social Security number (SSN) or account, a citizen will be arrested or face other legal action if they fail to call a provided phone number to address the issue.  This is a scam; citizens should not engage with these calls or provide any personal information.

SSA employees do contact citizens, generally those who have ongoing business with SSA, by telephone for customer-service purposes.  However, SSA employees will never threaten you for information; they will not state that you face potential arrest or other legal action if you fail to provide information.

In those cases, the call is fraudulent, and you should just hang up.    “Unfortunately, scammers will try anything to mislead and harm innocent people, including scaring them into thinking that something is wrong with their Social Security account and they might be arrested,” Stone said.  “I encourage everyone to remain watchful of these schemes and to alert family members and friends of their prevalence.  We will continue to track these scams and warn citizens, so that they can stay several steps ahead of these thieves.”

The OIG recently warned that some of these impersonation calls have “spoofed” SSA’s national customer service phone number, displaying 1-800-772-1213 as the incoming number on caller ID.   The Acting Inspector General urges citizens to be extremely cautious, and to avoid providing information such as your SSN or bank account numbers to unknown persons over the phone or internet unless you are certain of who is receiving it.

If you receive a suspicious call from someone alleging to be from SSA, you should report that information to the OIG at 1-800-269-0271 or online at https://oig.ssa.gov/report.   For more information, please visit https://oig.ssa.gov/newsroom/scam-awarenessFor media inquiries, please contact Andrew Cannarsa, OIG’s Communications Director, at (410) 965-2671.

Third Person Charged in Hoboken Voter Bribery Scheme

pay cash by quaziefoto1

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Hoboken NJ, A Hoboken man has been charged with promoting a voter bribery scheme by use of the U.S. mail, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced today.

William Rojas, 68, is charged by complaint with a violation of the federal Travel Act for causing the mails to be used in aid of voter bribery contrary to New Jersey state law. He is scheduled to have his initial appearance this afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge Cathy L. Waldor in Newark federal court.

According to documents filed in this case and statements made in court:

Under New Jersey law, registered voters are permitted to cast a ballot by mail rather than in person. To receive a mail-in ballot, voters must complete and submit to their county clerk’s office an Application for Vote by Mail Ballot (VBM Application). After the application is processed by the county clerk’s office, voters receive a mail-in ballot.

From September 2015 through November 2015, Rojas agreed to pay certain Hoboken voters $50 if those voters applied for and cast mail-in ballots for the November 2015 Hoboken municipal election. Rojas provided these voters with VBM Applications, told the voters that they would get paid $50 for casting mail-in ballots, and then delivered the completed VBM applications to the Hudson County Clerk’s office. After the mail-in ballots were delivered to the voters, Rojas went to the voters’ residences to collect the mail-in ballots and mailed the completed mail-in ballots to the Hudson County Clerk’s Office. After the election, Rojas delivered checks to these voters. Bank records show that voters living in Hoboken received $50 checks from an entity associated with the campaign that employed Rojas.

Rojas faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

The charge and allegations in the complaint are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

IRS Confirms Tax Filing Season to Begin January 28

1040taxirs_010415getty

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

WASHINGTON DC, Despite the government shutdown, the Internal Revenue Service today confirmed that it will process tax returns beginning January 28, 2019 and provide refunds to taxpayers as scheduled.

“We are committed to ensuring that taxpayers receive their refunds notwithstanding the government shutdown. I appreciate the hard work of the employees and their commitment to the taxpayers during this period,” said IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig.

Congress directed the payment of all tax refunds through a permanent, indefinite appropriation (31 U.S.C. 1324), and the IRS has consistently been of the view that it has authority to pay refunds despite a lapse in annual appropriations. Although in 2011 the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) directed the IRS not to pay refunds during a lapse, OMB has reviewed the relevant law at Treasury’s request and concluded that IRS may pay tax refunds during a lapse.

The IRS will be recalling a significant portion of its workforce, currently furloughed as part of the government shutdown, to work. Additional details for the IRS filing season will be included in an updated FY2019 Lapsed Appropriations Contingency Plan to be released publicly in the coming days.

“IRS employees have been hard at work over the past year to implement the biggest tax law changes the nation has seen in more than 30 years,” said Rettig.

As in past years, the IRS will begin accepting and processing individual tax returns once the filing season begins. For taxpayers who usually file early in the year and have all of the needed documentation, there is no need to wait to file. They should file when they are ready to submit a complete and accurate tax return.

The filing deadline to submit 2018 tax returns is Monday, April 15, 2019 for most taxpayers. Because of the Patriots’ Day holiday on April 15 in Maine and Massachusetts and the Emancipation Day holiday on April 16 in the District of Columbia, taxpayers who live in Maine or Massachusetts have until April 17, 2019 to file their returns.

Software companies and tax professionals will be accepting and preparing tax returns before Jan. 28 and then will submit the returns when the IRS systems open later this month. The IRS strongly encourages people to file their tax returns electronically to minimize errors and for faster refunds.

New Jersey the Most Stressed Out State !

Ridgewood Crash Creates Traffic Havoc

file photo by Boyd Loving

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Ridgewood NJ, New Jersey is the most stressed out state in the U.S. (at least according to a recent report by Zippia). Zippia ranked their top 10 most stressed states in the U.S. Zippia is a job search site.

New Jersey with a population: 8,915,456 , tops the list for the most stressed state in the U.S. People in New Jersey work long hours, have long commutes, and have a high home price to income ratio.

If you’ve ever wondered why it is known as the garden state, perhaps beautiful gardens, fresh food, and diners are part of Jersey’s stress management program.

In order to measure how stressed out a state is, Zippia chose a set of six criteria that reflect how sleepless people are:

Long commute times
Unemployment
Hours worked
Population density
Home price to income ratio
Percent uninsured population

The higher any of these was, the more stressful the people of the state are. Our data is from the U.S. Census’ American Community Survey for 2012-2016. We ranked each state from 1 to 50 (with one being the most stressed side of the scale) in the six individual criteria. These ranks were then averaged into one stressed out score. The lower the score the more stressed out state in America.

Reader Calls Out Race Baiters

Screenshot 2018 12 23 at 11.50.24 AM e1545583876413

A lot of “could be” “would be” “should be” being used to slander and convict a referee who has done nothing wrong in this situation so you can satisfy your racist beliefs that white people are racist towards black people.
.
Lets stick to the facts:
.
1) The sanctioned ref was cleared and allowed to continue refereeing in good standing – this is self eveident in that the ref WAS working the match.
Also no mention of any restrictions in place on this ref was mentioned in any report of the incident (and beleive me if there were any conditions appplied to the refs standing they would have been mentioned).
.
2) The fact that the ref DID follow the regulations AND the prior ref DID NOT follow the rules (exposing the failures of THE OTHER ref) has no bearing nor negative impact on THIS ref.
All it does is point out that the prior ref was negligent in his duties at least one time. It may or may not indicate a larger problem with the NJSIAA. You seem to be quick to judge and condem a larger group (NJSIAA) for the sub-par performance of one member (the other ref who did not properly enforce the regulations). This is text book prejudice on your part.
.
ALSO,
You are quick to imply racist tendencies on the ref who DID follow the rules.
How about the ref that DID NOT follow the rules?
Was he racist? Did he allow a black wrestler to compete while in violation of the regulations becasue he felt blacks cannot compete on a level playing field without additional help?
Was he racist? Did he have bias towards a black wrestler and allow him to compete while in violation of the regulations because he has a hatred towards non-blacks?
.
Of course making these “leaps of logic” would be wrong – but it is exactly what you are doing.
.
THIS is the type of logic that YOU are employing by making this a racial issue and assigning bad intentions to the “white ref” who “forced a black teen” to cut his hair.
.
The facts remain:
1) A ref enforced the regulations
2) An athlete made the decision to compete (by having his hair cut) and not forfeit the match.
.
But don’t dispair, racial bias like yours will prevail. I’m highly confident that the ref will be banned or punished in some manner and the athlete and his family will get compensation of some sort.
.
This will still not change the facts of the case and this outcome will still be wrong.

Reader says rather than write a story about perseverance and the competitive spirit we write a story to gin up racist hatred

Screenshot 2018 12 23 at 11.50.24 AM e1545583876413

a “black teen” WAS NOT FORCED to cut his hair by a “white referee”.
The athlete was not in compliance with the rules.
The referee was enforcing the rules.
The athlete elected to come into compliance, competed and won.
It’s as simple as that.
.
But rather than write a story about perserverence and the competitive spirit we write a story to gin up racist hatred.
.
1. The student athlete was NOT IN COMPLIANCE with the RULES.
2. The referee enforce the rules by giving the athlete the choice to come in compliance with the rules within the specified time limit or forfeit the match.
3. The student athlete was given a choice and he ELECTED to have his own hiar cut and compete since he did not have the proper head gear rather than forfeit the match.
He WAS NOT coerced nor FORCED to get his hair cut.
.

“A wrestling official who required an African-American grappler from Buena Regional High School to cut his dreadlocks or forfeit his bout in a match against Oakcrest was acting in accordance with the rules, according to multiple South Jersey referees.
According to the National Federation of State High School Associations, wrestlers’ hair cannot extend past the earlobes. If it does, they must wear a legal hair cap to cover it.
Johnson was wearing a cap, but it wasn’t attached to the headgear as the rule requires, according to Buena graduate Ron Roberts, a wrestling referee of more than 20 years.
Johnson would’ve been in compliance in the past, but the rule changed within the past couple of seasons to require the cap to be attached to the headgear, according to Howie O’Neil, who’s officiated for 44 years.
“The interpretation of the rule was applied correctly,” said Roberts, who hadn’t seen the video, but had heard of the incident. “The kid had to have legal head cover by rule or he’s got to cut his hair.””

The Failure of Virtue Signaling

hate has no home here magnet blue PRINT

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Ridgewood NJ, Virtue signaling, spelled virtue signaling in the United States, is the conspicuous expression of moral values.[1] The term was first used in signaling theory, to describe any behavior that could be used to signal virtue—especially piety among the religious,[2] but more recently support of progressive political norms and social justice.

The real idea is that you are better or morally superior and Virtue-signalers aren’t in any way in doubt about their own virtue. What they really want to do is signal how depraved others are. In the NY Post columnist F.H. Buckley more aptly called it , “Vice signaling is a defense mechanism, meant to displace liberal guilt. There was a moment, shortly after the 2016 election, when liberals realized that ordinary Americans had turned against them, and that they had reason to do so.”

The reality is that “No Hate” signs seem to sow more division and promote an anti community . Often used by the most “Hateful” people pitting neighbor against neighbor ,squelching free speech and even worse free thought in an ever increasing mindless obedient conformity .
