He was accepted to Fordham University to study business and pre-law, when Anthony developed an itch starting at his toes that quickly moved up his body. Following several tests, Anthony was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Retiring Ridgewood Library Director Nancy Greene Honored

Ridgewood NJ, the Village Council honored Ridgewood Library Director Nancy Greene with a proclamation  that declared December 14th, Nancy Greene Day in the Village of Ridgewood, in honor of the library director’s upcoming retirement. Greene announced her retirement as of January 1st after dedicating 27 years of service to what is often ranked as the best public library in Bergen County .

Ridgewood PBA Donates $56,661 Raised From Food Truck Festival to Pediatric Cancer Research Projects

Ridgewood NJ , back in November the Ridgewood PBA announced that the Food Truck Festival raised $56,661 for pediatric cancer research.This money will be sent, via The Golden Lights Foundation, to Mosse/Marris Lab at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where it will be used to help start a new and promising clinical trial for pediatric cancer. In addition, the festival was able to register 50 people on the Bone Marrow Registry and bring awareness to other important charities.

Ridgewood NJ,  St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church of Ridgewood , Wednesday, December 14th at 5:30 pm, we will gather in the last moments of twilight on the front lawn of the church to turn on the lights on our small (but growing!) live Christmas tree. By lantern, candle, and other lights, we will sing carols for about thirty minutes, followed by hot chocolate and refreshments, hosted by our amazing Teen Outreach group.
