Demarest  NJ,  this spring, the Regina Angelorum Chapter of the National Honor Society welcomed 84 of the Academy of the Holy Angels’ top scholars from the junior and senior classes. NHS Moderator and AHA science teacher Sharon Jureller organized the May 20 induction ceremony, which was led by NHS Chapter President Valentina Zazzali and Vice President JaeMin Chu.

Demarest NJ, Students from the Academy of the Holy Angels volunteered their time to help the Community FoodBank of New Jersey present this spring’s Global Youth Service Day and Teen Hunger Forum. Teens from across New Jersey, including several Angels, attended both virtual events, which included discussions of hunger in our communities and ways to help. AHA’s participation was coordinated by Campus Minister Maryanne Miloscia.

Saddle River teen’s non-profit promotes child literacy and educational equity

Demarest NJ, Saint Peter the Apostle School in Philadelphia recently received a delivery of over 700 books courtesy of Adventures in Ink. Academy of the Holy Angels junior Isabella Dail of Saddle River initiated this non-profit child literacy and educational equity program in 2018. These days, she is expanding her effort with the help of new team members.

Bergen Teen Founds Custom Clothing Venture with a Social Conscience

Demarest NJ, in June 2020, Academy of the Holy Angels junior Hannah Kim established 5/15 Collection, a custom clothing business with a social conscience. The Cresskill teen uses her venture to raise awareness for various causes, and donates a portion of her proceeds to support positive change.

Demarest NJ,  Several members of the Academy of the Holy Angels Vocal Ensemble are striking a chord for social justice, hope, and harmony with their rendition of “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.”

AHA Choral Director Lisa Marciano and her a cappella group had been practicing this hymn in preparation for the Academy’s spring concert. This event, like many others, was canceled when the campus was closed due to COVID-19 health concerns.

Cooper was honored for her notable contributions to the varsity volleyball, bowling, and lacrosse programs, and for her exceptional spirit.

Demarest, NJ: On the morning of May 29, 2020, the Academy of the Holy Angels community celebrated the school’s 140th graduating class by logging in to a video presentation. AHA developed the program to permit everyone to recognize the Class of 2020 while adhering to COVID-19 safety regulations. This year, 124 graduates persevered through the pandemic to amass 20,702 service hours and over $23.2 million in scholarships.
