Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi, “While I have sponsored and voted in favor of many pieces of legislation over the years to ensure equality for all, including all races, religions, genders and members of the LGBTQ+ community, today I will be voting no on a bill A-4454. This bill requires school districts to include instruction on diversity and inclusion commencing this year as part of implementation of New Jersey Student Learning Standards. While on its face the bill appears to be one that we should all support, as with all things the devil is in the details.”

TRENTON NJ , Assemblyman Robert Auth blasted Governor Phil Murphy for his spending plans despite the state’s nation-worst fiscal position.

“The smoke and mirror State of the State address was another example of Governor Murphy’s abject denial of our current financial situation,” said Auth(R-Bergen). “We are currently fifty out of fifty in fiscal stability, two-hundred-nine billion dollars in the red and he’s extolling the virtues of excessive spending and bloated government. Even members of his own party were incredulous after the speech.”

Jeffrey Dye, the Murphy administration staffer who wrote anti-Semitic and other inflammatory posts on social media, is out of a job.Dye, who is head of the city of Passaic‘s chapter of the NAACP, had been a $58,000 a year business representative at the Department of Labor & Workforce Development since February. But Angela Delli Santi, a spokeswoman for the department, said in a terse one-line statement Tuesday afternoon that’s no longer the case.

Montvale NJ, Dozens of acres of vacant corporate campuses in Montvale and other municipalities could be destined for court-mandated, high-density housing. At the former Sony Electronics corporate campus in Park Ridge and Montvale, office buildings are being replaced by 615 units, including more than 100 designated for affordable housing.

Assemblyman Robert Auth said he would prefer to see these centers revived as dynamic employment hubs providing income opportunities for hundreds of Bergen and Passaic County families.
