Homicide Investigation in Fairview

Fairview NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information:

At approximately 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019, the Fairview Police Department responded to 215 4^th Street in Fairview based on information that a shooting may have occurred at that residence. Responding officers discovered the victim, a 23-year-old male, deceased in the ground level apartment from apparent gunshot wounds. No other victims were located in the residence.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, along with the Fairview Police Department and Bergen County Sheriff’s Department, are investigating the homicide. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. No additional information will be released at this time.
