Ridgewood NJ, Thursday 5/25/2023: Susan, a village resident, approached “B” shift while conducting our daily platoon drill in the Central Business district to say thank you. This was a special moment as this resident was rescued from a second story apartment during a well involved fire back in 2020. Fire Fighter’s McLaughlin, T. Bombace and Rohrman were assigned to Ladder 36 that day and successfully made the rescue. Little did Susan know that Fire Fighter. McLaughlin was in fact working today and we were able to capture that moment. FF. McLaughlin and his fellow firefighters were very appreciative of her kind words and impromptu thanks!

Ridgewood NJ, “No money; no money; no money!” “Forget about it!” “It isn’t going to happen this year!”
Those are the responses Ridgewood’s taxpayers pleading for safety improvements (e.g., sidewalks and a pedestrian bridge repair/replacement) have been getting from Village Council members for the past few months.

Morristown NJ, New Jersey ranks near the bottom or at the bottom, depending on the source considered, for overall business climate due to taxes and regulatory hurdles. The factors behind those rankings directly impact the ability of our state to foster the development of small businesses and retain those businesses as they grow. It is important to want small businesses to exist and thrive in your state. Small businesses are a way for new innovations to come to the market and for New Jersey residents to accumulate wealth.
Ridgewood Nj, looks like the Benjamin at 1 Franklin avenue in Ridgewood has a parking problem . The problem being that visitors to the central business district have been grabbing up the assigned spots instead of paying for parking on central business district streets or in the parking garage on Hudson Street . Gee wiz would would have thunk it? Just another ancillary issue created by poor Village planning and please don’t blame it on “climate change” .
Ridgewood NJ, several members of our staff have noticed these advertisements that have recently popped up on line. Our mayor and council have been mum, of course, about any plans to bring Sunrise Assisted Living to Ridgewood. So much for the governmental transparency they continue to boast about.
