The new Coronavirus has created a global pandemic, making hundreds of thousands of people sick and taking a toll mercilessly. Believed to have originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan, this virus, medical experts say can return seasonally, just like the common flu. 

With vaccine trials still underway, we do not precisely know when it will be ready for deployment. As scientists suggest, a vaccine might be ready in another 12-18 months and that is way too far! So, should the coronavirus return, countries should be ready to deal with it effectively.

FCC Chairman Pai Launches the Keep Americans Connected Pledge During Coronavirus Outbreak

WASHINGTON DC,  in multiple phone calls with broadband and telephone service providers and trade associations, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai emphasized the importance of keeping Americans connected as the country experiences serious disruptions caused by the coronavirus outbreak. And in order to ensure that Americans do not lose their broadband or telephone connectivity as a result of these exceptional circumstances, he specifically asked them to take the Keep Americans Connected Pledge.

New York State Postpones Ban on “Single Use” Plastic Bags Due to Coronavirus Outbreak

New York NY, You don’t have to break out that reusable bag when you brave the supermarkets – at least not yet.New York State’s ban on plastic bags is now on hold until May 15.

The ban went into effect on March 1, but enforcement had already been pushed back to April 1. Now, fears that reusable bags may help spread coronavirus has prompted Albany to move it again.

US Department of Transportation Issues National Emergency Declaration for Commercial Vehicles Delivering Relief in Response to the Coronavirus Outbreak

Ridgewood NJ,  The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) issued a national emergency declaration to provide hours-of-service regulatory relief to commercial vehicle drivers transporting emergency relief in response to the nationwide coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. This declaration is the first time FMCSA has issued nation-wide relief and follows President Trump issuing of a national emergency declaration in response to the virus.
