Glen Rock Women Reports Home Burglarized in the Middle of the Day

Glen Rock NJ, according to the Glen Rock Police, on Thursday March 11th  at 7:31 a.m.  a Cornwall Road resident, near Prospect Street, reported that her home had been burglarized the day prior, perhaps sometime between 12 noon and 2 PM. The complainant was not immediately aware anyone had entered the home at that time. Investigation found that entry was gained through a bedroom window. The actor(s) pried a screen from the window frame and opened the window which was concealed by large hedges. Missing from the home was an undetermined amount of jewelry. The resident is attempting to provide an inventory to detectives.

Ridgewood NJ, Real estate website Niche.com has announced its annual “Best Places to Live in New Jersey” list. Overall, Princeton Junction and Princeton finished 1-2 in the statewide rankings, followed by Ridgewood, Mountain Lakes, Upper Montclair, Princeton Meadows, Ho-Ho-Kus, New Providence, Glen Rock, and Monmouth Junction in the top 10.

Glen Rock NJ, on Tuesday march 3rd  at 4:39 p.m. Glen Rock Patrols were dispatched to Bottle King Liquors on the 900 block of Prospect Street on a reported shoplifting in progress. The female subject had fled to store, however, based upon the description provided by store personnel, P.O. Sarah Orsita apprehended the subject on Saddle River Road in Fair Lawn. The woman was found to be in possession of two stolen bottles of Johnnie Walker, valued at $128.

Transformer Malfunction in Glen Rock Sets off Residents Smoke Alarms

Glen Rock NJ , the Glen Rock Police report that on Thursday February 25th  at 2:51 a.m. Glen Rock Police Patrols, along with Glen Rock Fire Fighters, responded to Henry Street on a 9-1-1 report of a utility emergency. A power service voltage interruption caused the activation of residents’ smoke alarms and caused an odor of smoke in some of the homes. PSE&G determined that the source was a malfunctioning transformer which subsequently resulted in a power outage to numerous homes. The matter was turned over to PSE&G for correction.

Glen Rock Detectives Investigate iPhone Delivery Redirected to UPS Customer Service Center

Glen Rock NJ, the Glen Rock Police  report that on Wednesday January 27th at 2:05 p.m. a Glen Rock resident reported that a package, which should have been delivered to his home, was fraudulently intercepted by an unknown actor at the UPS Customer Service Center in Saddle Brook. As reported, the resident ordered an iPhone Max Pro 256G directly from Verizon. When he received an email confirmation of delivery, which had not occurred, he checked the tracking number provided and found that the package had been picked up from the UPS Customer Service Center.

Glen Rock Detectives Investigate Berry Place Home Burglary

Glen Rock NJ, according to Glen Rock Police on Monday January 25th at 8:34 p.m. a Berry Place resident reported that a burglary had occurred at his home while he was working in his basement. The resident recounted to officers that he went down to his basement around 7 PM and when he came back upstairs at around 8:20 PM he noticed that his front door was open and that the rear door to his home had been forced open. The master bedroom was found to have been disturbed with a small amount of jewelry missing.

Berkeley Place and Rock Road Accident Takes Out Fire Hydrant in Glen Rock

Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock EMS transported at least one (1) victim to The Valley Hospital following a two (2) vehicle, Saturday afternoon, 01/30, crash at the intersection of Berkeley Place and Rock Road, Glen Rock. Glen Rock Police also responded to the scene. Both vehicles involved in the crash were towed from the intersection. A fire hydrant was demolished in the incident. Although multiple injuries were reported, none appeared to have been life-threatening in nature. One (1) crash related summons was issued by Glen Rock Police.

Glen Rock Police Make DWI Arrest while Assisting A Disabled Vehicle on Route 208

Glen Rock NJ, last Friday January 19th at 3:50 p.m. Glen Rock Police officers were dispatched to Route 208 South near Lincoln Avenue due to a disabled vehicle obstructing traffic. While attempting to assist the vehicle and reopen the traffic lane, officers observed a white Jeep traveling on the shoulder of the road passing stopped traffic. When the vehicle approached the officers, who were on foot along the highway, the operator abruptly attempted to reenter the traffic lane.

Region Experiences Uptick in Residential Burglaries

Glen Rock NJ, according to Glen Rock Police last month Glen Rock experienced three residential burglaries. The burglaries occurred on Waldren Avenue, Maple Avenue   and Berry Place. This increase is in line with what other communities in our region have been experiencing . Glen Rock detectives are working with an investigative task force with other agencies in investigating theses crimes .

Happily ,Alleged Child Kidnapping in Glen Rock is False Alarm

Glen Rock NJ, on Monday January 18th  at 12:54 p.m. multiple Glen Rock officers were dispatched to a report from a concerned citizen who observed what appeared to be a male subject forcing a small child into a vehicle near the Glen Rock High School and then driving off. Officers were subsequently able to identify the vehicle involved. Investigation found that what appeared to be a small child was actually a dog which had become trapped in the gap between the seats in the vehicle. The man operating the vehicle was in fact struggling to free the dog.

Glen Rock NJ, Storm related motor vehicle crashes kept Glen Rock Police patrol officers busy during the late morning and early afternoon of Tuesday, 01/26. A single vehicle crash into a utility pole took place on Route 208 northbound at Harristown Road. Shortly thereafter, a two (2) vehicle crash was reported in the 500 block of Prospect Street. No injuries were reported by any of the three (3) vehicles’ occupants. Tow trucks were summoned to both crash sites.

Glen Rock NJ, Nectar Cafe known for offering Vegan, Gluten-Free Foods, Smoothies, Coffees, Teas & Tonics is closing its doors for good . The closure was announced in a note on their Facebook page on January 17th with its last day being January 29th .
