Golf Travel Center Announces Amazing Packages For The Ryder Cup 2023

Every golf enthusiasts understand that the Ryder Cup 2023 is a few months to come. The cup tournament was rescheduled from October 2022 to 2023 due to Covid 19 pandemic break. However, the plans remain to have the Ryder cup 2023 in Italy during autumn. Marco Simone Golf and country club will hold the games in Guidonia Monticello near Rome. These venues are just 10 miles away from Rome and are the first time Italy is getting a host for the tournament. It is also the third time the tournament has been held outside the UK and Ireland. However, Italy has prepared heavily to host the tournaments, bringing thousands of golf lovers to Italy. The venues have since been renovated and made greener than before to behold the best spectacle for the event. A lot of irrigation and groundwork has been done to ensure that the first time Italy hosted the event, it goes down in the history books as among the best host for the tournament. This 43rd golf tournament series is expected to fill up the capacity of the luxurious hotels of Italy, and spectators will have opportunities to witness the events unfolding as they happen.

Volunteers Needed for 122nd U.S. Amateur Championship PRACTICE ROUNDS August 13th & 14th

Dear Golf Enthusiasts:

Paramus NJ, as previously announced, the 122nd U.S. Amateur Golf Championship is coming to Ridgewood Country Club and Arcola Country Club this month and volunteers are needed for the practice rounds on Saturday and Sunday, August 13-14 to work as course marshals and forecaddies. This event will be an outstanding opportunity for spectators to see the world’s best amateur golfers in action, and this will be particularly true for course volunteers. No spectators will be allowed for the practice rounds – volunteers are the only ones who will have access.

Academy of the Holy Angels Golfers Earn Rare Triple Crown, Finish Second in State

Demarest NJ,  the varsity golfers from the Academy of the Holy Angels just completed a lights-out, first-ever undefeated season (14-0 in overall league play) that included an elusive triple crown. The Angels are now league champions, Big North champions, and AHA’s first Bergen County AND State Sectional champions. On May 16, the Angels finished second in the state, and Angelina Kim of Tenafly finished third in the state as an individual. The team includes Kim, ’25; Sharanya Agarwal of West New York, ’25; Sidney Chung of Cresskill, ’24; Inha Jun of Edgewater, ’25; and Amelia Shen of Demarest, ‘23.

Ridgewood Born Scottie Scheffler Wins the Masters

Ridgewood NJ , Scottie Scheffler won the Masters by three strokes Sunday, a spectacular chip shot on No. 3 giving him all the breathing room he needed to hold off first Cam Smith and then Rory McIlroy. Scheffler shot 71 in the final round, finishing at 10-under 278 for the tournament.  Scottie Scheffler is the current World Number 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Darlington Golf Course Driving Range Renovation has Officially Started

Mahwah NJ, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco is excited to announce that construction has officially started on the highly anticipated Darlington Golf Course driving range renovation. Over the past several weeks crews have been working to take down the old and weathered wooden support poles at the range. Early next year, they will be replaced with much larger 150 foot modern steel poles that will support a much thicker and high strength polyester breakaway netting system. Once complete the new system will allow the range to endure intense weather conditions and further extend play time for golfers at the range. The Parks Department is anticipating the range to re-open in late spring next year. This investment once again furthers our goal of offering golf enthusiasts of all abilities a country club experience at public course prices.
