Atlantic City NJ, each year, approximately 3,000 individuals in the United States end up in emergency rooms due to accidents involving beach umbrellas. These incidents, ranging from impalements to other serious injuries and, tragically, even deaths, prompted a concerted effort by officials to make beach umbrellas safer. Beginning its work in November of 2021, the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM), with the help from engineers from the Consumer product Safety Commission (CPSC) have jointly announced the passage of ASTM F3681-24 on April 2, 2024, a groundbreaking safety standard aimed at safeguarding beachgoers from potential hazards posed by unstable umbrellas.

Convenience fees are to be paid to the service provider by the Village of Ridgewood.

Ridgewood NJ, Graydon Pool Memberships decreased in price for residents only from August 1st through Labor Day. Residents may purchase a late season adult membership for $75 and a late season child membership for $70. Senior rates remain at $35.00 and non-resident rates remain at $325 for ages 16+ and $210 for a child.

Ridgewood NJ, on Saturday afternoon there was a report of a possible missing child at Graydon pool. The Ridgewood Police and Ridgewood Fire Department, as well as Ridgewood EMS, responded to Graydon pool for a possible unaccounted-for swimmer. The pool was cleared of all guests during the search. A search of the pool and investigation by the pool staff determined that all swimmers were accounted for.

Ridgewood NJ, saying the Summer is here and there is no better time to enjoy all the Village has to offer than these next few weeks . Mayor Paul Vagianos offered a big shout out to Nancy Bigos, Director of Parks and Recreation and her staff, who have worked hard to ensure that Graydon Pool, one of Ridgewood’s best amenities, is fully staffed with lifeguards for the first time since the pandemic. We’re one of the only communities that still has a natural-fed pool, one that helps create fond summer memories for so many families.

Ridgewood NJ, there is still time to join Graydon Pool – Please go to the badge office at the pool to do so – Graydon Pool is open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., 7 days per week, through September 4th (Labor Day). Activities include: swimming lessons, story time on the beach, learn to be a mermaid swim class, story time with a mermaid, standup paddleboard classes, and standup paddleboard yoga workshops. Amenities include spray fountains, charcoal grills with picnic tables, shade systems, Adirondack chairs, fenced-in kiddie pool area, and the Water’s Edge Café concession.
