Ridgewood NJ, the homeless man that has been terrorizing the Ridgewood central business district has once again been released after he was accused of pulling a knife on a couple and making lude comments to young women in town .
Ridgewood NJ, in January 2016 the Ridgewood blog reported, “Its a bird, its a plane no its a heavily intoxicated Superman. On Thursday 1/21/16, patrol responded to a business on East Ridgewood Ave for the report of an adult male dressed in a Superman costume sitting in the lobby of the business. Upon arrival, officers found a heavily intoxicated 29-year-old male from Hackensack. The man was transported to Valley Hospital for treatment related to the intoxication. Ramsey NJ, Dr. Matthew Murphy, superintendent of the Ramsey Public Schools, has extended an invitation to the Ridgewood community to attend their Parent Academy with Kate Fagan, author of What Made Maddy Run, on Monday, January 29 at 7 p.m. at the Ramsey High School Auditorium. Madison Holleran graduated from NHRHS prior to attending University of Pennsylvania.
What Made Maddy Run is a very powerful book that discusses some of the challenges that children are facing: social media, mental illness, and suicide. In fact, all staff members have received a copy of the book and Ms. Fagan will be addressing the entire staff in the afternoon. Later in the afternoon, she will be addressing our student-athletes and coaches to talk about the additional pressures of being a scholar-athlete. These are just some examples being taken towards the District’s Goal of Enhancing the Student Experience via a focus on Wellness.
An evening with author Kate Fagan:”Ms. Fagan brings enormous credibility and I think her story will be interesting to many,” wrote Dr. Murphy. “She played basketball for the University of Colorado and finished her career as one of the Big 12’s top scorers and then played 2 seasons in the WNBA. Following athletics, Ms. Fagan has worked for the Philadelphia Inquirer and now is a writer for ESPN. She has appeared on “Around the Horn.” She has written several books and has established herself as a sportswriter with knowledge and insight that is useful and important, especially young athletes.”

Las Vegas NV, A man arrested over the weekend trying to wrestle a gun from a police officer at a Las Vegas rally held by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump told an investigator he wanted to kill the candidate, in court papers showed on Monday.
Michael Steven Sandford, who prosecutors described as a 19-year-old British national,who had lived for a time in Hoboken and was currently living out of his car was arrested on Saturday at the Treasure Island hotel in Las Vegas after trying to disarm the officer, according to Las Vegas police.
Sandford told authorities that he had been in the United States for a year and a half,and had lived in Hoboken, New Jersey, after coming to the country. Stanford had overstayed his visa from the United Kingdom and was now living in the USA illegally.
According to court papers filed on Monday in federal court in Nevada, Sandford told a Secret Service agent he had driven to Las Vegas from California with the goal of shooting Trump.

Richard Spillane, bald and gaunt after almost 30 years in state prison, says the mental illness that led him to murder his parents in the family’s Ho-Ho-Kus home has been under control for years. He takes anti-psychotic medication, he says, and no longer hears the voices he believed were sent into his brain by CIA computers.
Soon, he expects to go before the state parole board for the first time to argue that he is ready to be a free man.
During a recent interview at East Jersey State Prison in the Avenel section of Woodbridge, the 52-year-old Spillane said he has worked hard to prepare for possible release this spring, learning computer programming and studying law in the prison library. Yes, some family members have said they are afraid of him and have been dreading his parole eligibility for 30 years. But Spillane, his voice soft but intent, said he’s no longer dangerous after years of medication and self-examination
