Midland Park NJ, To our loyal customers and patrons-Although we originally hoped to celebrate our 5-year anniversary this past week, we are rightfully shifting to a full curbside takeout and delivery. While the operation is a challenge, still in the works, so far it has been a success. We are offering our traditional Pub menu, but also have added “Meal Deals Packages” menu that feeds a family of 4, “Lent Specials” and the option to order in advance for the next day.  You tell us when you want to pick up and it will be ready. Our neighborhood liquor store is in full operation, allowing for social distancing with one patron at a time for purchases. Also ask about our Growler Club for purchase for ice cold draft beer. We are going to do what we can to give people another option for dinner, while doing everything with safe distancing and constant monitoring of public announcements and regulations. Stay strong, follow the rules, and have faith.

Ridgewood NJ, as previously reported Rafael Ramos a Mailman from Midland Park stood quietly in a Bergen County courtroom Friday after pleading guilty in  the 2018 roadway death of Edward Rao, a Ridgewood real estate agent.

Ramos will serve less than a year of jail time and he can return to his job as a postal worker following a fatal 2018 hit-and-run . The Court found Ramos guilty of hitting and killing 54-year-old Edward Rao with his car in September 2018. But the court said Ramos could keep his job as a postal worker during the day and return to jail at night.

Reportedly Ramos returned to the scene and spoke with police after the accident, but he did not mention that he hit Rao. County detectives arrested him five days later after finding a piece of his car at the scene and video footage of his car leaving the accident site.

The county says there is no connection between the donation and the contract and that the county does not track political contributions. Bergen County Jim Tedesco, a Democrat, is up for reelection next in 2022
