Paramus NJ, a multi-vehicle, chain reaction rear-end collision occurred mid-Sunday morning, July 7th, on Route 17 northbound in Paramus near the Fashion Center.
Paramus NJ, a two (2) vehicle late Thursday afternoon, 06/13, crash on Route 17 southbound in Paramus caused an Acura TL to roll over onto its roof, and tumble in the parking lot of Shake Shack, just north of Midland Avenue. Neither driver was injured in the mishap. A flatbed tow truck righted the Acura and removed both vehicles from the scene. Paramus Police, Paramus EMS, Paramus Rescue, and Paramus Fire Department responded to the incident.
Paramus NJ, a refrigerated box truck rolled over on its side early Saturday morning, 06/08, as it entered the cloverleaf ramp leading from Route 17 northbound to Route 4 westbound in Paramus. The truck’s driver self-extricated prior to the arrival of emergency responders and was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Two (2) heavy duty tow trucks were required to right the vehicle. Paramus Police, Paramus EMS, and Paramus Fire Engine Companies 2 & 4 responded to the incident. Crash related traffic delays in the area were mostly limited to the exit ramp itself, which was closed for approximately two (2) hours.

Maywood NJ, in a troubling incident on Tuesday morning, authorities launched an investigation into an armed robbery at Diamond Fantasy jewelers located at 42 West Pleasant Ave. in Maywood.
Paramus NJ,the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado crew cab pickup truck was pulled unconscious from his vehicle by Paramus Police ESU officers after he crashed head on into a tree in the 100 block of East Midland Avenue, Paramus late Thursday morning, 04/11. CPR was immediately begun by police officers, who were supplemented by arriving EMTs and paramedics. The victim was rushed by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. A flatbed tow truck removed the heavily damaged pickup truck from the scene. The single vehicle accident’s cause remains under investigation.
Paramus NJ, in the early hours of Saturday morning, a two-car collision occurred on Route 4 westbound near Paramus Road, resulting in injuries to six passengers. Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti reported that officers arrived to find two vehicles, each with three occupants trapped inside. Some passengers suffered serious injuries, requiring transportation to nearby hospitals. Route 4 has since been reopened. The Bergen County Fatal Accident Investigation Team and the Paramus Police Crash Investigation Unit are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
Paramus NJ, an adult female was struck and critically injured early Saturday afternoon, 03/16, at the Paramus Public Library’s East Century Road branch. The victim was rushed by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. Paramus Police are investigating the incident. Photographic evidence collection is being provided by the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Identification. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene.
Paramus NJ, the adult male driver of a black colored Mazda sedan was taken into custody for suspected DUI following a 5-vehicle crash on Route 4 westbound in Paramus shortly before 12 noon on Thursday, 03/14. The individual was handcuffed and placed in a Paramus police vehicle immediately after the administration of a field sobriety test. The heavily damaged Mazda and a white colored Volkswagen Atlas were both removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. The suspect is alleged to have struck the Volkswagen and three (3) other vehicles after he struck a guardrail just east of Spring Valley Road, Paramus and lost control of his vehicle. No injuries were reported by any drivers or passengers involved.
Paramus NJ, three (3) individuals were reportedly attacked by a loose dog(s) on the Lower Field of the Parkway School in Paramus shortly before 11:00 am on Thursday, 03/14. Preliminary information from the scene indicated that one (1) adult and two (2) children were injured. Multiple Paramus Police officers rushed to aid the victims along with two (2) ambulances and two (2) Paramus EMS supervisory/support staff members. Injuries sustained by the victims were said to have been minor and non-life threatening in nature. An individual walking three (3) dogs on leashes was seen being interviewed by police officers after leaving the athletic/playing field area and securing the dogs in a privately owned vehicle. There was no word from police officers at the scene as to whether those dogs were involved in the incident. A representative of Tyco Animal Control also responded to the location; no dog(s) were in her possession when she departed the school property.
Paramus NJ, a few hundred fans lined up to see Musician and entrepreneur Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson .50 Cent held a bottle signing featuring his Branson Cognac and Chemin du Roi champagne at Stew Leonard’s in Paramus. The Paramus Police were on site while the rapper took photos and conversed with his many fans.
