Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Library help is much heralded Public Forum on Saturday . Dispite all the hoopla the event attendance was a bit thin.

While some attendees including Anne LaGrange Loving complimented Nancy Greene for making an honest effort to listen to the concerns of the citizens.

Ridgewood Emergency Services Preps for a busy May

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Emergency Services Acting Chief Ryan Savaria announced for the month of April , that RES responded to 147 EMS calls, 12 Special Operations Calls. For these responses, it accounts for 1337 volunteer hours donated to the Village. This does not include times for training, meetings and preparation for upcoming events. 

Chief Savaria stated that May will be a very busy month with all the planning for the Annual Ridgewood Memorial Day Run. Savaria stated that “we actually start planning, the week after the previous years run. Reviewing the events that occurred, the plans to update.

Ridgewood Crew Achieves a New Milestone at the 2019 City Championship Regatta

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Crew entered 14 events at this weekend’s Philadelphia Scholastic Rowing Association’s City Championship Regatta with only Lower Merion, PA; Montclair, NJ and Springside Chestnut Hill, PA entering more. Delightful weather on Saturday encouraged crowds along the Schuylkill River for the qualifying heats while the finals and semifinals on Sunday couldn’t have been soggier. The wet conditions did nothing to dampen the athletes’ moral, with 11 boats advanced to the finals and 5 boats earning medals.

Heatstroke begins when the core body temperature reaches around 104 degrees; death can follow in a child when that temperature reaches 107 degrees.

Ridgewood Library Foundation Donations Used to Fund Preliminary Design of Reimange Project

Ridgewood NJ, the cumulative fees paid to architects for the Ridgewood Public Library Reimagine Project are $65,270 .

In 2016-2018 the library hired Peter Gisolfi Associates a preliminary design and cost estimates to update the library interior . Gisolfi received the bulk of the $65,270 of $55,620 for the work with $45,501 paid for thru private donations.

Ridgewood NJ, “Spring has sprung, summer is coming and school will soon be out! The Ridgewood Police Department in partnership with Van Dyk’s Homemade Ice Cream, Ridgewood Walks and Ridgewood Press is excited to announce the 2019 Helmet Reward Program. Children observed by our police officers, properly wearing a helmet while riding a bicycle, skates or a skateboard, will be issued a certificate of safety making them eligible to receive one Free Ice Cream Cone! This program will be in effect until all certificates are given out to our safe young riders.

Ridgewood NJ, Governor Phil Murphy and NJ TRANSIT Executive Director Kevin Corbett recognized NJ TRANSIT’s latest Locomotive Engineer Training Class for passing and graduating the Northeast Operating Rules Advisory Committee (NORAC) and physical characteristics exams. The Governor presented each trainee with a certificate of achievement, as the class wraps up its final days of on-the-job training.
