Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police department and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit are currently asking for the public help in tracking down the alleged hit and run driver .Authorities need the  public’s help finding a dark-colored SUV that they allege ran over and killed a Hawthorne man near the Ridgewood train station Monday night and kept going.

Social media has been very successful in spreading the word in helping police identify suspects and it does trouble us that as of 7:43 pm on Tuesday evening the Ridgewood Police department had still not posted anything on their Facebook page to help with the search . Paramus Police however posted at the article from the Daily Voice just before 7pm that same evening.

This is not the first time the Ridgewood Police have been slow to use social media and a similar pattern was followed  after an Ridgewood officer was almost hit by a driver earlier this year .

Anyone who saw or knows anything about the incident is urged to contact the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit at (201) 226-5595, or the Ridgewood Police Department at (201)652-3900.

Ridgewood NJ, Wires installed on utility poles carry electricity. And when wires are down, they are dangerous—electricity can still flow through them.
Never assume that a downed or low hanging power line is not energized, as it still could be “live.”

TO REPORT A DOWNED WIRE: Call 1-800-436-PSEG and tell PSE&G the nearest cross street or the number of a nearby pole that has not been damaged and is away from any downed wires. The pole number can be found on the metal tag attached to the pole.

Never go near or touch an electrical wire. Never go near or touch anything or anyone that has come in contact with an electrical wire.
Stay at least 300 feet away from all downed wires–and keep others from going near them as well. Call PSE&G at 1-800-436-7734 or the Ridgewood Police Department 201-652-3900

Ridgewood Police Department : If you lost power, do not call 911. Call PSE&G at 800-436-7734

Ridgewood Police Snow

Ridgewood NJ,This is an urgent message from the Ridgewood Police Department. There are numerous trees and live power lines down. Many downed power lines are covered in snow and are difficult to see. This creates a life threatening hazard. Stay away from power lines. Stay indoors and off the roads unless absolutely necessary. We are aware that much of the village is without power. If you lost power, do not call 911. Call PSE&G at 800-436-7734

Anti-Mayor Groups Steps Up Attacks on Ridgewood Police Department

Village Council Meeting

…”The last gasp of those losing the argument is saying the conversation needs to stop “in defense of the institution.” See, for example, all those worried about “the institution” of the FBI that are railing against the President’s criticisms. I guess this issue is making Dear Leader nervous since her hit squad of cyber bully lackeys can’t shout it down. The worst political scandals are ones that ring true. #SelfServing seems to have hit that mark. For what it’s worth, you’re right: John Ward couldn’t get his son on the force. That takes being Mayor. After all, both of the recent mayors – political animals these pages full-throatedly support – have made that happen for their children. Instead of refuting the argument your point about Ward actually proves it.”

Ridgewood NJ, Wrong this is a direct attack on the Ridgewood Police Department , its union members and  the Civil Service system . You are claiming that the Civil Service system is a fraud, that the Ridgewood  Police department has hired incompetent officers  and  that that the town is not being adequately protected .

This effort by Don Delzio , former FAC members , and supporters of the 3 amigos is a vicious attempt to undermine police authority and indirectly casts dispersions on the entire police department.

As for the John Ward argument this one is one you , https://www.northjersey.com/story/news/bergen/ridgewood/2016/12/11/ex-ridgewood-officer-faces-dwi-and-other-charges-sussex-county/95227000/
