Glen Rock Police Respond to Reported Fist Fight at Wilde Park

Glen Rock NJ, on Tuesday evening, July 30, shortly after 7:00 pm, all on-duty Glen Rock Police uniformed patrol units responded to a report of a fist fight at the basketball courts in Wilde Park, which had drawn a gathering crowd. By the time patrol units arrived, the altercation had ended, and at least one of the participants had already left the area.

Warrant Scam Reported in Upper Saddle River

Upper Saddle River NJ, the Ridgewood blog has previous reported this in Ridgewood , now the Upper Saddle River Police Department have received reports that residents in nearby municipalities have been receiving scam phone calls from people purporting to be police officers. The caller(s) are utilizing the actual names of officers in local departments and are claiming to have warrants for the residents that they are calling. If you receive a similar call do not provide the caller with any of your personal information or attempt to send them money or funds of any type. The Upper Saddle River Police Department will not call residents in refence to any warrant and will never request money to be sent to satisfy a warrant. If you received one of these calls please disregard it. Please contact the police department only if you received one of these calls and provided personal information or provided the caller with funds of any type.

The latest incident occurred early Saturday morning, June 22nd, at an Exxon station on Route 17 southbound near Franklin Turnpike in Ridgewood.

Ridgewood DUI Suspect Arrested After Hit-and-Run Crash

A late Friday afternoon hit-and-run incident on June 21 led to the arrest of an adult male DUI suspect by Ridgewood Police patrol officers. The suspect, driving a black Nissan sedan, allegedly struck a parked, unoccupied Hyundai SUV on East Glen Avenue before continuing westbound and mounting a curb at the corner of Northern Parkway.

Tesla Crash Claims the Lives of an Ornamental Tree and Several Shrubs on Lincoln Avenue in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, a single vehicle late Friday afternoon, 06/07, crash at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Manor Road, Ridgewood destroyed a Tesla sedan and also claimed the lives of an ornamental tree and several shrubs. The adult male Tesla driver was uninjured in the mishap, which was allegedly caused when he swerved to avoid a slow moving vehicle that had cut in front of him. A flatbed tow truck removed the wreckage. Ridgewood Police and Ridgewood Fire/EMS responded to the incident.

Ridgewood NJ, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark there is a fallen tree on Lincoln Avenue. The roadway is CLOSED in both directions in the area of McKinley Place. Areas on the west side are without power due to down power lines. PSE&G has been notified and is responding.

Driver Claims “Faulty Work” Contributed to Accident in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, the driver of silver colored, 4-door Chevrolet Cruze sedan refused medical treatment following a late Saturday morning, 05/25, crash in which the vehicle mounted a curb, struck a chain link construction fence head on, and slammed into a vacant building. There was no visible damage to the structure, which is located at 555 North Maple Avenue, Ridgewood.

Late Morning Construction Accident in Ridgewood leaves Several Injured

Ridgewood NJ, a late morning construction accident at a home under total renovation on Pomander Walk resulted in two (2) non-life threatening injuries. Both victims were transported to The Valley Hospital by a Ridgewood Fire/EMS ambulance. Construction code officials and the Village Engineer were called to the scene to perform an inspection. An interior structural collapse was said to have caused the injuries. Permits for the work being performed were recorded on the Village’s SDL Permit & Inspection Portal. Ridgewood Police patrol officers and a patrol supervisor also responded to the incident.
