Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police called for assistance from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Identification in the investigation of a very serious Monday afternoon, 10/30, pedestrian vs. vehicle collision on North Maple Avenue, Ridgewood. The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 PM near the Ridgewood Public Library. A Ridgewood Fire Department ambulance rushed the victim to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment of grave injuries. Paramedics accompanied the ambulance. North Maple Avenue in the vicinity of the crash site was closed in both directions for an extended period. The vehicle and driver involved in the collision remained on the scene.

Ridgewood NJ, The 65th Anniversary Season of The Kasschau Memorial Shell – Veterans Field – behind the Ridgewood Public Library, will begin on June 1st at 8:00 p.m. The performances will continue on Tuesday and Thursday evenings through the beginning of August. The performance are free and open to the public. Please bring a chair or a blanket. To help fund the newest season of programming, the shell is running a community donation campaign with the goal of raising $25,000. Funds raised will be used to produce upcoming events, as well as the scholarship fund. Donations may be made on the Shell’s website: www.KasschauMemorialShell.com. All contributing donors will be recognized on the Kasschau Memorial Shell website, while donors that contribute $50 or more will be recognized on a donor wall that will be present at all concerts throughout the 2023 season.
