Fair Lawn NJ, one (1) driver was seriously injured during a three (3) vehicle, Friday afternoon, 12/02, collision at the intersection of Hillside Terrace and Jerome Place, Fair Lawn. Fair Lawn Police plus Basic and Advanced Life Support teams from The Valley Hospital rushed to aid the victim. Two (2) vehicle were towed from the intersection by separate tow trucks.
Paramus NJ, An adult male bicyclist was struck by an SUV and seriously injured Thursday afternoon, 05/24, on Paramus Road just south of West Midland Avenue in Paramus. The victim, who was knocked off of this bike and thrown against the SUV’s windshield, was rushed by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. The visibly distraught driver of the SUV remained on the scene and was also transported by ambulance to an undisclosed hospital. A flatbed tow truck lifted the SUV off of the damaged bicycle and removed the vehicle from the scene. Paramus Police and EMS, responded along with an ambulance from Hackensack University Medical Center, and a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital. Police at the scene were observed interviewing several witnesses to the incident, including an individual who was waiting for a bus at a nearby bus stop.
Ridgewood NJ, A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured at the corner of East Ridgewood Avenue and Oak Street, Ridgewood on Sunday evening, 12/25. The victim was transported by a Ridgewood EMS ambulance to a local trauma center. Ridgewood PD, FD, and EMS members, along with a paramedic team from St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, all responded to aid the victim. The adult female driver of the vehicle involved stayed at the scene and was cooperating with police officers. The vehicle, a 4-door Volkswagen, had visible damage on the front left fender and bumper, and the front windshield was shattered. It was removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Police at the scene would not say if the victim was in a crosswalk when hit, nor whether any summonses were issued in connection with the incident.

the staff of the Ridgewood blogRidgewood NJ, An adult female pedestrian was struck and seriously injured on Thursday morning, 08/13, while she was walking through a municipal parking lot in Ridgewood. The incident occurred at approximately 11:20 AM in the Cottage Place parking lot off of East Ridgewood Avenue.
Ridgewood police, fire and EMS personnel responded to assist the victim, who was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital. The driver of the vehicle that struck the victim was backing out of a parking space at the time of impact. No summonses were issued by police at the scene.
