Teaneck NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the charge of false public alarm filed against ADELE ULRICH, 72, of Wayne, NJ. The charge is the result of a months-long investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck.
Teaneck NJ, the Teaneck Fire Department 4th platoon responded to solar panel fire earlier this week. Companies were able to isolate the panel and extinguish it. There was minor damage to the roof and no extension to the interior.
Teaneck NJ, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office is currently investigating a residential fire that occurred in the early hours of Monday morning, which resulted in two individuals being hospitalized.

Englewood NJ, Englewood Firefighters battled an early morning fire in a commercial structure in the 200 block of West Englewood Avenue. 2 Alarms were needed to bring the fire under control with the assistance of Teaneck Fire Department, City of Hackensack Fire Department ,Tenafly Fire Department and more. There were no injuries but the building suffered severe damage.
Teaneck NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of TEDDY MEJIA (DOB: 08/30/1991; single; restaurateur) of 106 Jasper Avenue, Teaneck, NJ, on charges of vehicular homicide. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Teaneck Police Department under the direction of Chief Andrew McGurr.

Teaneck NJ, Wednesday at 4:50pm City of Hackensack Fire Department Deputy 1 and Ladder 1 responded mutual aid to 108 West Englewood Avenue, Teaneck on a working structure fire. Teaneck firefighters quickly extinguished the fire confining it to the room of origin. Englewood Fire Ladder and Safety officer were also on scene.
Hackensack NJ, at approximately 1200pm Saturday the City of Hackensack Fire Department First Platoon was dispatched to reported kitchen fire at 309 Vincent Avenue , aka The Crows Nest . Arriving units investigated and found no fire in the kitchen. Further investigation revealed fire on the roof deck extending to an exterior office door frame.

Hackensack NJ, on Sunday April 3rd @08:11 Hackensack Fire Desk received a 911 call reporting a fire at 99 Fair Street. While companies were responding Deputy 4 reported smoke from a distance and requested a 2nd alarm. Upon arrival companies were met with heavy smoke and fire conditions on the 2nd floor of the home with fire extending into the attic. Companies put several handlines in service to begin knocking down fire on the 2nd floor and to protect the house next door. Ladder 1 and rescue 1 conducted searches and began to open up the 2nd floor ceilings to gain access to the attic. Fire extended to the attic area due to limited access.
Hackensack NJ, Hackensack Fire fighters ended the year by logging in a busy month December 30th , 350 prospect avenue 2nd alarm fire. Fire was on the number 5 floor. Fire was knocked down by Engine 2. All searches are negative. Englewood and Teaneck fire departments assisted at the scene along with Hackensack UMC BLS . No reported injuries. Fire is currently under investigation.
Teaneck NJ, a traffic signal device was destroyed when two (2) SUVs collided at the intersection of Sussex Road and West Englewood Avenue, Teaneck on Sunday afternoon, 04/05. Both vehicles were propelled off of the roadway as a result of the crash’s impact, and wound up on the front lawn of a nearby single family home. No injuries were reported by either vehicles’ occupants. Teaneck Police and Teaneck Fire Department responded to the incident. A flatbed tow truck removed both wrecks. A portion of West Englewood Avenue was closed briefly due to the downed signal device.
