Paramus NJ, The driver of a cement truck was seriously injured during a Monday afternoon, 08/16, rollover crash on the exit ramp from Route 4 eastbound to Route 17 northbound in Paramus. Paramus Police, Paramus Fire Department, Paramus EMS, NJDOT, NJSP, and Bergen County Hazmat personnel/units were among those who responded to the incident. Two (2) heavy duty tow trucks were required to right and remove the rolled over vehicle. The adult male driver was transported to a local hospital by a Paramus EMS ambulance. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital assisted Paramus EMTs with an medical evaluation of the victim. Leaking fluids were attended to by Bergen County Hazmat personnel and a commercial recovery/remediation contractor. Traffic on Route 4 eastbound was slowed to a crawl near the crash scene, with those drivers heading to Route 17 north forced to make a U-Turn at the next eastbound exit.
Glen Rock NJ, a freak Friday the 13th crash resulted in damage to five (5) vehicles that were parked at an auto body shop located in the 300 block of Ackerman Avenue, Glen Rock. A Toyota Camry headed northbound on Ackerman Avenue, crossed the double yellow line and continued northbound in the southbound lane before veering off the road completely and crashing. The Toyota’s driver, who sustained non life threatening injuries, was transported to The Valley Hospital by a Ridgewood EMS ambulance. A flatbed tow truck removed the heavily damaged Camry from the scene. The five (5) parked vehicles were attended to by auto body shop employees. Glen Rock Police and Glen Rock Fire Department also responded to the incident. No information was provided at the scene as to what caused the driver to lose control of his/her vehicle.
Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police, Ridgewood Fire Department, and Ridgewood EMS personnel rushed to aid an individual who was injured in a two (2) vehicle crash at the intersection of Linwood Avenue and Northern Parkway on Monday afternoon, 08/02. The victim, who sustained a non-life threatening ankle injury, was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital. A tow truck removed both wrecked sedans from the scene.
Ridgewood NJ, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and State Health Commissioner Judy Persichilli have recommended that New Jersey residents, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, wear masks indoors when there is an increased risk of COVID-19. This recommendation follows the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated guidance that included a recommendation that all individuals resume indoor masking to prevent the community spread of COVID-19.

Fair Lawn NJ, two (2) vehicles were towed in connection with a rollover crash on the entrance ramp to Route 208 northbound from Fair Lawn Avenue, Fair Lawn on Thursday afternoon, 07/15. An adult female occupant of a white colored Toyota SUV was transported by a Fair Lawn EMS ambulance to The Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Fair Lawn Police is investigating the crash, which damaged a parked vehicle as well as the Toyota. Fair Lawn Heavy Rescue and Fair Lawn Fire Department also responded to the incident. The entrance ramp was closed until the SUV could be righted and removed from the foliage.
Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police, Ridgewood Fire Department, and Ridgewood EMS personnel rushed to aid the adult male driver of a black 4-door sedan who was injured after crashing into a tree head on at the intersection of Bellair Road and Lincoln Avenue, Ridgewood early Saturday morning, 07/10. The victim was rushed by ambulance to The Valley Hospital for treatment. A flatbed tow truck removed the wreckage. It is believed that a medical episode may have triggered the crash.

Ridgewood NJ, perfect weather for opening day at Graydon Pool was dampened by incident in which a child was apparently seriously injured while swimming in the pool’s “shallow” area. Ridgewood Police, Ridgewood Fire, and Ridgewood Emergency Services personnel rushed to assist in the child’s safe removal from the pool and transfer to a waiting ambulance. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital assisted Ridgewood EMTs. The victim was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital. The child’s guardians/parents were at the pool when the incident occurred.
Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood firefighters used the “Jaws of Life” to extricate an adult male driver from a silver SUV involved in a two (2) vehicle, Friday afternoon, 06/04, collision at the intersection of Fairmount Road and Hillcrest Road, Ridgewood. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. Ridgewood Police, Ridgewood EMS, and a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital also responded to aid the victim. The driver of the other vehicle involved was apparently uninjured. Ridgewood Police issued two (2) crash related summonses at the scene. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Paramus NJ, a Honda Odyssey minivan was broadsided, and rolled over on its driver’s side during a Thursday afternoon, 05/20, multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Paramus Road and West Ridgewood Avenue, Paramus. The minivan’s driver was trapped inside of it until freed by Paramus Police Emergency Services Unit (ESU) personnel and members of the Paramus Fire Department. A Paramus EMS ambulance transported the victim, who appeared to have sustained non-life threatening injuries, to The Valley Hospital. The rolled over vehicle was righted by a specialized ESU vehicle and later removed from the scene by a tow truck. One (1) other vehicle involved in the collision was also reportedly removed by a tow.
Paramus NJ, a two (2) vehicle, Saturday morning, 05/08, crash on the Garden State Parkway southbound at mile marker 164.4 in Paramus resulted in multiple injuries, requiring response by several ambulances and a paramedic team. NJ State Police, Paramus Police, Paramus EMS, and Paramus Fire Department were at the scene along with an BLS ambulance from New Bridge Medical Center, and a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital.
