NJ State Police Divers Recover Upper Saddle River Man’s Body from Lake Hopatcong

Upper Saddle River NJ, for the second time in a week a body of a man was discovered in Lake Hopatcong.  Police confirm the body of another man was recovered there Tuesday following an overnight search.

Upper Saddle River NJ, in April, Upper Saddle River resident Joe Abbatiello, contacted us regarding the Blue Envelope Program. Mr. Abbatiello learned about this program from the Dumont Police Department. The Blue Envelope Program helps facilitate a traffic stop interaction between drivers with Autism Spectrum Disorder and police officers. Mr. Abbatiello’s suggestion resulted in Mayor Arman Fardanesh and Chief Patrick Rotella adopting this outstanding program.

Upper Saddle River NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of FRANK CIRINO (DOB: 11/03/1953; divorced; unemployed) of Upper Saddle River, NJ on charges of distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material, and attempted endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.

Late February Upper Saddle River Police Report Mail Theft in the area of Deerfield Lane

Upper Saddle River NJ, on Friday afternoon (2/24), the Upper Saddle River Police Department received the report of an act of possible mail theft. The theft was confirmed and occurred in the area of Deerfield Lane between the hours of 10:30 AM and 01:00 PM. It is believed other thefts from mailboxes in the area may have occurred. Please check the status of any outgoing checks placed in mailboxes on Friday 2/24/23. The suspect vehicle is a silver/gray sedan, possibly a BMW, with dark tinted windows. Demarest NJ, Elise Tao of Upper Saddle River is one of four New Jersey teens chosen to attend the 16th Annual Disney Dreamers Academy. She and 99 of her peers from across the country will attend this event (March 23-26) at Walt Disney World in Florida. Participants, who range in age from 13 through 19, will attend career workshops, interact with mentors, and learn how their dreams can ultimately change their lives.

37 year-old Female from Perth Amboy Arrested after she Assaulted two Upper Saddle River Police Officers

Upper Saddle River NJ, Upper Saddle River Police arrested a 37 year-old female from Perth Amboy after she assaulted two police officers during a disturbance call. The suspect attempted to bite one officer and stuck another with an open hand. The female was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and released on her own recognizance.

Upper Saddle River Police : Holiday Cheer Often Coincides with an Uptick in Residential Burglaries

Upper Saddle River NJ, Upper Saddle River Police reported that Thursday night, between the hours 6PM-730PM, two residential burglaries and one attempted burglary occurred on the following borough streets : Deerfield Lane, Anona Drive, and Fawn Hill Road. All effected homes were unoccupied at the times of the incidents. The investigation into these incidents is ongoing. We are requesting anyone with information or surveillance footage (“Ring”) to please contact the Upper Saddle River Police Department.

Route 17 North Fatal Collision in Ramsey on Tuesday Shuts Down Highway for Hours

Ramsey NJ, a Jeep SUV veered off the roadway on Route 17 north near Lake Street in Ramsey and struck a tree leaving two people dead. The crash snarled rush-hour traffic in the area for hours on Tuesday as investigators worked to discern what caused the fatal collision.

One of those is the borough of Glen Rock , organized by Racefaster called , 5k Run “Turkey Trot “. Ridgewood Emergency Services added a helping hand through their  Special Operations unit to help out on race day  .

Upper Saddle River Police Warn of “Geek Squad” Scam

Upper Saddle River NJ, nearby law enforcement agencies have reported a scam involving suspects posing as members the computer repair company “Geek Squad”. The scam was initiated by a phone call to the victim claiming she owed money for a service plan. The victim ultimately provided a checking account number and lost a large sum of money. This scam was successful in the reporting area on two occasions.
