Reader calls Village Council , “shopaholics”

Ridgewood Village Hall theridgewoodblog.net 17

What every single one of them lacks is a financial brain and apparently all also are “shopaholics”, who can’t wait to find something else they can waste money on. As long as they, personally, only have to pay a small part of what they are buying, building, etc., they are all for it. I have to assume they are all personally rich since they don’t seem to care about all the expenses they are signing up, for which the town must pay. The last Council blasted the townspeople if they opposed what the council wanted. This one just keeps whistling along and stating they don’t have ANY knowledge of ANY objections to their expensive plans.

Reader asks What will it take for the Council to take the plugs out of their ears and blinders off their eyes?

money

What will it take for the Council to take the plugs out of their ears and blinders off their eyes? Residents have been begging, pleading, showing how items can only bankrupt the town and make taxes even higher with no sign that the council has heard or read a word. If the library wants to grow (unnecessarily)it can self fund. Most of the tutors, self employed business people, and book readers are not even from Ridgewood. Self funding would include monies from these people and let the Ridgewood taxpayers alone from providing luxury items that everyone (including the library board–they just “want it” not “need it”) knows is not essential. If the board still feels it is necessary, start your fund drive and wait to see if you get one red cent to splurge on the library and take from libraries and towns who NEED the money just to survive. The council is all spend, spend, spend and who cares if Ridgewood has enough money to pay their new debts. And we thought the prior council was bad. The present one is composed of nice people with not one bit of economic knowledge in all their heads put together.

A Note to the Council About the Library’s Expensive Proposition to Gut Itself and Start Over

Bike_Ridgewood_Public_Library_theridgewoodblog

The following note was sent to the Village Council with a copy to the Village Manager.

Dear Council:
It is my impression that the library director and board are asking the Council to pave over part of Veterans Field for parking so that they can increase services further and build a performance venue at the library.

This is a bad idea–no, a terrible idea. Our parks have already been largely given over to sports. What’s left must be considered sacrosanct. As the temporary custodians of the village, you make decisions that will last for decades or forever. You are responsible for holding firm on this. I believe such a decision would be wildly unpopular.

Nope let’s Keep Throwing Stones

01 1

Oh for God’s sake. Yes, the two made horrible decisions for Ridgewood. They virtually ruined Ridgewood, but read John Updike. Adultery in the suburbs is as common as fast food joints. Yes, it’s wrong, but sometimes the adulterers, find a new love and divorce their original spouses and remarry or live together forever.

I think having sex before marriage is wrong too; it used to be thought that way. Let’s not keep throwing stones at these two people for reasons of adultery.

Reader calls illicit affair disgraceful

02

This is disgraceful, embarrassing for Ridgewood but not surprising from the 2 involved. Together they made some of the worse decisions that will effect Ridgewood forever, they embarrassed tax payers who disagreed with them, they berated and judged and turned their backs on friends and now they are gone and the hits still keep coming. Time to move out you two and leave us all alone

Oh. My. God. Are you for real? I am sorry she is your sister, but your sister was the nastiest most vindictive person on the council, it was unbelievable. She attacked her council colleagues. She attacked citizens. She called people names like STALKER and TERRORIST. She used obscene language when addressing a member of the public. And now, unbelievable, we find out that she was having an AFFAIR with someone else’s husband who happened to by the Mayor. Aronsohn flipped his stand on Gwenn’s beloved Valley hospital in mid-stream – now it is clear why. “kindness, compassion, tolerance, love, sharing, tenderness, and the willingness to pick up another woman’s husband.”

To all of you who keep commenting and posting as anonymous, why are you posting that way? Here is an example of what I, Dana Habernickel Koenig, feel about the way the world is going:
It is so sad and I see grown up bullying – all around us – A perfect red carpet rolled out for our kids to follow suit. It is disgraceful. If people are unhappy with themselves, they seem hell bent on pushing someone else down instead. Kindness. That is what we all need to model for our kids. Kindness, compassion, tolerance, love, sharing, tenderness and the willingness to extend a hand to pick a person up, not so shove another down.

Reader asks can every vote in which they both participated be nullified?

02

No quickies, though. Restoring her hair and makeup before reappearing in public would take at least an hour. He doesn’t have enough hair to worry about.

Rurik, Roberta, Hans the Nazi-blog-accuser, Jan the I’m-more-ethical-and-moral-than you, and all the rest who attacked honest council members: what do you think of your ethical and moral leaders now?

Well, other readers can watch, imagine, deplore, puke, and/or get off on the bedroom-related shenanigans. More important: can every vote in which they both participated be nullified?

The disclosure of this alleged adulterous romantic/sexual relationship may shed some light on an incident in which one of the individuals reported to be involved became irate when learning that RIdgewood Police Department patrol officers entered his/her home when they found the front door ajar.
