Well, well. It would appear that the previously “alleged” romantic relationship between two individuals who served on the Ridgewood Village Council for four consecutive years together can now be classified as a “confirmed” romantic relationship.
Ridgewood NJ,nominating packets are available for Ridgewood residents who are registered voters and wish to run for and serve on the Ridgewood Village Council. They may be picked up at the Village Clerk’s Office in Village Hall, 131 North Maple Avenue, during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays. The deadline for filing completed nominating petitions is March 9, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.
This year, there are three positions, with four-year terms, to serve on the non-partisan Village Council which will be voted on at the May 12, 2020 Municipal Election. The newly elected Councilmembers will be sworn in and take office on July 1, 2020.

Ridgewood NJ, All Village Offices will be closed on December 24 & 25, 2019 in observance of the Christmas holiday. All Village Offices will also be closed on January 1, 2020, in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday. All Village Offices will be open on December 23rd, 26th, 27th, 30th, and 31st, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be no garbage or recycling pickup on December 25th and January 1st, and the Recycling Center will also be closed on these days. Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Village Council members swore in a new Police Officer James Bigos and presented awards to several current members of the Village’s police force during a Public Meeting of the Village Council held on Wednesday evening, 12/11/2019.
Ridgewood NJ, word from inside Village Hall is that Councilman Voigt has gone ballistic. Claims he had no idea the reporter who spoke to him was going to write an article. Isn’t that generally what reporters are paid to do; that is, write articles?
Ridgewood NJ, Councilman Jeffrey D. Voigt has brought nothing but shame and embarrassment on the Village of Ridgewood. The list of his outrageous behaviors and unneeded expenses (on the taxpayers’ dollar) just continues to climb.
Ridgewood NJ, The offices of the Village of Ridgewood will be closed on Monday, November 11th in observance of Veteran’s Day. There will be no garbage or recycling collection. The Recycling Center will also be closed that day.. All municipal offices and services will return to their normal schedule on November 12th.

Ridgewood NJ, A former Village of Ridgewood employee allegedly forced his way into the Village’s East Glen Avenue Recycling Center on Wednesday afternoon and was being sought by Ridgewood police officers for questioning in connection with the incident. The Recycling Center was closed at the time due to construction taking place at the Ridgewood Water treatment facility next door. Reportedly, the individual forced his way through a closed gate at approximately 2:30 PM and entered the facility despite being ordered no to do so by an on-duty Village employee. While inside, the suspect allegedly removed recyclable materials from his truck and threw them on the ground as he engaged in a verbal argument with the Recycling Center employee. Police were notified, but the individual had fled the scene prior to their arrival. Anyone who witnessed the incident should contact the Ridgewood Police Department at 201-652-3900.
