Ridgewood NJ, Frankly, enough is enough when it comes to flooding along the Ho-Ho-Kus Brook in Ridgewood. Damaging, expensive flooding seems to be occurring every 5 years (or less) instead of every 100 years.

Ridgewood NJ, Vandals stole a small 4-wheel drive utility vehicle owned by the Village of Ridgewood, and took the the golf cart sized unit for a short joy ride in a municipal parking lot before overturning it on its side late Wednesday evening, 07/07. Witnesses to the incident reported seeing a small group of male juveniles, none of whom appeared to have been injured, run from the scene after the vehicle crashed. A search of the area by several Ridgewood Police patrol units failed to turn up the perpetrators. Ridgewood firefighters were dispatched to stabilize the vehicle, drain its large water tank, and right it in preparation for removal by a flatbed tow truck. Video footage from a nearby security camera was turned over to Ridgewood Police detectives for investigatory purposes. And yes the keys were left in the vehicle !

Ridgewood NJ, the $50,000 Glen School Pickleball Courts are under utilized because of the hours and days imposed by the Village Council and the Village Manager. Mondays and Fridays these courts are locked. The hours that one can play is restricted to the hottest times of the day. Many of the residents are choosing to play at Wyckoff or Montvale at 8:00 AM. If you play Tennis in Ridgewood the courts are available 7 days a week. If you play Tennis you can play from 8 AM to dusk. We pay amount the same for our badges yet our days and times are NOT equal. We all pay taxes to live in this Village of Ridgewood. Yet, Pickleball players are not treated equally. Many of the players are senior citizens and have lived in town for many years. This discrimination is an embarrassment for the Village.
