Wood-Ridge NJ, students and staff at Catherine E. Doyle Elementary School in Wood-Ridge, NJ, were safely evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a small fire broke out in a construction area of the school. Thankfully, no injuries or structural damage were reported, and the school returned to its regular schedule on Wednesday.
Carlstadt NJ, on Monday evening, a house fire broke out at 618 First Street in Carlstadt, leaving significant damage to the home and an adjacent garage. The fire prompted a swift response from the Carlstadt Fire Department, with mutual aid provided by the Wood-Ridge and Hasbrouck Heights Fire Departments.

Hasbrouck Heights NJ, October 6th proved to be a hectic day for the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department, as they responded to several emergencies, including a tire change gone wrong and two significant car accidents.
Hasbrouck Heights NJ, last Friday night at 11 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to a serious rollover accident on Route 17 near Franklin Avenue. The crash involved a vehicle that had flipped over, trapping one occupant inside while gasoline leaked into the car and onto the trapped individual.

Hasbrouck Heights NJ, late Wednesday night, around 11 PM, the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department sprang into action to tackle an unexpected series of events on Route 46.
Wood-Ridge NJ, Wood-Ridge Fire Department units responded at 11:56 to 271 North Ave for a House Fire. Arriving companies were met with heavy fire on the 1st floor of a 2 story home. An aggressive interior attack by Engine 901’s crew confined the fire to the room of origin. The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire and searches conducted by Truck 904’s crew confirmed this. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Wood-Ridge Fire Prevention Bureau. There were no injuries.
Hasbrouck Heights NJ, the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department and Wood-Ridge Fire Department are currently investigating an odor of electrical burning in the basement of Corpus Christi school on Kipp Avenue on Wednesday. All children and staff have been safely evacuated .

Hasbrouck Heights NJ,at 6 PM, Hasbrouck Heights Fire Chief 60, Chief 62, Engine 2, and Squad 1 responded to the Hilton hotel for a fire alarm activation. Chief 62 found smoke coming from the boiler room and transmitted a 10–30. Crews from Engine 2 located a minor fire in the ventilation pit and quickly knocked the fire with no extension. Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department offered a special thanks to the Wood-Ridge Fire Department for assisting at the scene.

Hasbrouck Heights NJ, around 4:30 pm, on Thursday ,Hasbrouck Heights Chief 62, Squad 1, Ladder 1, and Hasbrouck Heights Fire reserve unit, responded to the Shell gas station on route 17N for a vehicle that drove into the gas pumps. Chief 62 confirmed the accident and transmitted a 10-30. An engine from Wood-Ridge Fire Department was requested to the scene. No injuries reported .

Hasbrouck Heights NJ, file this under you not even safe in your own home, just after midnight, the department was dispatched to a vehicle into a house on the Boulevard near Baldwin Ave. Chief 60 got on the scene and transmitted a 10-30 and requested the Wood-Ridge Fire Department to respond. After investigating the scene, crews found the exterior gas meter was destroyed with free-flowing gas and structural damage to the basement. Wood-Ridge Fire Department and other mutual aid assisted on the scene and covered the Borough during this incident. No injuries reported.

Hasbrouck Heights NJ, on June 24th the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department reported an extremely busy day with over 6 runs in one day. In addition to two fire alarms, one elevator entrapment, a minor vehicle fire, and an oven fire, the department just operated at the Hilton Hotel for a minor fire in the kitchen. A 10-30 was transmitted and the Wood-Ridge Fire Department was called to the scene. Engine 2 had one line stretched. Crews knocked the fire with no extension. Heights Thanked the Wood-Ridge Fire Department for their assistance. Praised the dedicated volunteers who spend hours of their time on these calls. Also, congratulations to the newlyweds! We apologize that the ceremony got interrupted by the fire.
