Village to Swear in New Council Members January 4th

Ridgewood NJ, January 4th the Village Council Reorganization Meeting starts 6:30 p.m. in the Court Room of Village Hall . All are invited to attend as we honor Mayor Susan Knudsen for her service to the Village and swear-in and welcome Councilmembers-Elect Evan Weitz and Siobhan Winograd to the Village Council.

Village Council Public Work Session begins at 7:30 p.m.  This is the regularly scheduled Public Work Session for the newly formed Village Council. The public is always invited to attend meetings, both Work Sessions and Public Meetings. In addition, the Village Council meetings are broadcast live on the Village website, and Channel 34 on FiOS. Meetings are also available on YouTube.

Medical Examiner Rules Princeton Student’s Death a Suicide

Princeton NJ, an autopsy performed on a Princeton student whose body was discovered on campus has ruled her death was a suicide. Misrach Ewunetie’s body was discovered behind the university’s tennis courts on Oct. 20 after being missing for a few days. Misrach Ewunetie was 20 years old.

Glen Rock resident hit with “virtual kidnapping scam”

Glen Rock NJ, a Glen Rock resident from Ackerman Avenue reported receiving numerous text messages containing graphic images and videos from an unknown person who was threatening to harm their family if the victim didn’t pay them money. The scam was reported to Glen Rock Police December 19th at 2:56pm . The messages appeared to be consistent with known scams where individuals try to scare victims into paying them money.

Fair Lawn NJ, on December at 10:40 am , Fair Lawn Police Officer Peter Federico, Officer Luis Vasquez &  Officer Anthony Burgos responded to the area of Walgreens, 17-77 River Road, on a report of a shoplifting that had occurred. The actor, Brandon Flores, age 22 of Paterson, was captured on Route 20 in Paterson with $70.74 in unpaid items.

Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock neighborhood hit by package thieves , on December `19th at 2:38 PM , a Harristown Road resident reported to the Glen Rock Police that a package that was delivered to her home on 12/13/2022 had been stolen off her porch. Several other package thefts were reported during that time frame in the same area of town. The detective bureau is investigating.

Fair Lawn NJ, on November 28th at 8:19 pm Fair Lawn Police responded to The Craftsman, 6-18 Maple Avenue, after a report of an unknown person seen inside the closed business via surveillance cameras. Upon arrival, the actor attempted to flee out a side door but was captured a short distance away.  Manuel Cravero, age 34 of Prospect Park, was released after being charged with burglary.

Despite Election Promises New Council Moves to Shut Down Ridgewood Emergency Services
