Callahan of the New Jersey State Police was featured on News 12 to dispel the rumor that a ticket blitz by the State Police would occur where fines for summons would be increased. Although Colonel Callahan confirmed that this is fictitious, he did reaffirm that troopers are always on patrol 24/7 enforcing traffic violations. New Jersey State Police want to remind everyone to obey traffic laws and to drive safely.

Ridgewood NJ, one (1) summons was issued by Ridgewood Police in connection with a Saturday morning, 07/16, crash that damaged three (3) vehicles, when a moving passenger car struck two (2) parked vehicles in the 300 block of East Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood. Two (2) of the damaged vehicles were towed away by a flatbed. No injuries were reported. Distracted driving was said to have been responsible for the mishap.

Glen Rock NJ, at approximately 4pm the Glen Rock fire department was requested Route 208 north in the area of Harristown road for a reported car fire with a kid possibly inside the car upon Glen Rock police arrival they confirmed a working car fire with everyone out of the car. Both Fair Lawn Fire and Glen Rock Fire units operated for approximately an hour before returning to service. Glen Rock Police reopened Route 208 North at 5:36pm.
