Google Engineer Claims AI Program is Sentient

Ridgewood Nj, a Google engineer has been placed on paid administrative leave for violating the company’s confidentiality policy after he claimed that Google’s LaMDA AI had become sentient. The engineer had presented his conclusions to Google’s vice president and head of Responsible Innovation, but his claims were dismissed. A Google spokesperson says that there is no evidence that LaMDA is sentient and that there was a lot of evidence against the idea.

PHILADELPHIA  PA, United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams announced today that former U.S. Congressman Michael “Ozzie” Myers, 79, of Philadelphia, PA, pleaded guilty today to conspiracy to deprive voters of civil rights, bribery, obstruction of justice, falsification of voting records, and conspiring to illegally vote in a federal election for orchestrating schemes to fraudulently stuff the ballot boxes for specific Democratic candidates in the 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 Pennsylvania elections.

Maple Shade NJ,  a Burlington County, New Jersey, man today admitted selling $2.7 million worth of pesticides he claimed were registered with the Environmental Protection Agency as being effective against coronavirus, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger and Assistant Attorney General Todd Kim of the Environment and Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, announced.

The practice of rescinding offers was last seen widely during the financial crisis. More leaders are seeing it as a feasible strategy, as it is better than laying off employees, despite the reputational risks. The phenomenon has so far been mostly restricted to extremely well-paid tech jobs for highly in-demand workers.

Highly Intoxicated Man Attempting to Enter the Wrong Home Triggers 911 Call in Glen Rock

Glen Rock NJ, on Sunday June 5th at 3:32 AM, Glen Rock Police Patrols were dispatched to a 9-1-1 report of a burglary in progress on the 800 block of Prospect Street. Responding officers subsequently apprehended a highly intoxicated 41-year-old Turnersville, NY man.  Investigation determined that the subject was visiting and staying with a resident on Garvey Place and attempted to enter the wrong home.  No damage was done to the Prospect Street home and the residents were advised of the situation.
