Wholesale Prices Rose at a Near Record 10.8% Annual Rate

Washington DC, the Producer Price Index (Wholesale Prices) for final demand increased 0.8 percent in May, seasonally adjusted, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. This rise followed advances of 0.4 percent in April and 1.6 percent in March.

Saddle River Police Department : West Saddle River Road will be closed in both directions at Dater lane until further notice

Saddle River NJ, Saddle River Police Department has issued a Traffic Alert! West Saddle River Road will be closed in both directions at Dater lane until further notice. Recent heavy rains have undermined the road causing a significant collapse under the steel plates. Bergen County has responded to barricade the roadway and prepare for reconstruction. This project will take many months and the road will be closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Due to the hazards, large fencing will be established for safety reasons to prevent anyone from walking into the work zone.

Amazon to Launch Drone Deliveries

Ridgewood NJ, Amazon’s Prime Air drone delivery service will start later this year, pending FAA permission. Lockeford, California will be among the first locations in the US to access the service. The drones will be able to carry five pounds of payload at speeds of up to 50 miles an hour. They are able to detect static and moving objects and automatically change course to safely avoid them.

Ridgewood NJ, the driver of small box truck escaped injury when he crashed his vehicle into a utility pole on East Glen Avenue near Van Emburgh Avenue, Ridgewood on Monday morning, 06/13. Ridgewood Police, Ridgewood Fire Department, and Ridgewood Emergency Services personnel and vehicles responded to the incident. Motor vehicle access to and from the Glen School and several nearby homes was disrupted by the incident for an extended period.

Oradell Avenue Reopens to Traffic

Oradell NJ, Oradell Avenue has reopened in both directions, after a sinkhole had kept the eastbound side of the thoroughfare closed since the end of May. A sinkhole caused by a ruptured sewer line was first spotted on May 23 near the Oradell Street train station. According to Police ,there will be periodic maintenance this week during day time hours. Traffic will need to be altered so stay tuned for traffic updates.
