Minivan Transporting Developmentally Disabled Individuals, Strikes a Fire Hydrant in Fair Lawn

Fair Lawn NJ, three (3) ambulances were required to transport victims from the scene of a Friday afternoon, 06/10, motor vehicle crash on 17th Street in Fair Lawn to local area hospitals. A minivan, which appeared to have been transporting developmentally disabled individuals, crashed head-on into a fire hydrant in front of a single family home located in the 3-00 block of 17th Street. Fair Lawn Police, Fair Lawn Fire Department, Fair Lawn EMS, and the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad, along with mutual aid ambulances and a paramedic team, rushed to aid the crash victims.

Friday Afternoon Crash at Intersection of East Ridgewood and North Pleasant Avenues Diverts Traffic in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, traffic was diverted from the 900 block of westbound East Ridgewood Avenue late Friday afternoon, 06/10, due to a single vehicle crash near the intersection of East Ridgewood and North Pleasant Avenues. The vehicle’s driver sustained a minor leg injury, but refused ambulance transport to a hospital. His 4-door sedan was towed from the scene. Ridgewood Police and Ridgewood Fire Department personnel & vehicles responded to aid the victim.

Ridgewood NJ, on Friday, June 10th, more than 3,000 law enforcement officers, including four (4) from Ridgewood Police, took to the streets of their local communities on one of 26 separate routes to help carry the “Flame of Hope” a distance of nearly 750 miles throughout the Garden State to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics New Jersey.

Governor Hochul and Governor Murphy Announce Major Step Toward Modernization of Penn Station

New York NY, NY Penn Station has been the bane of commuters for as long as we can remember  . Since the original Penn Stations  destruction in the 1960s, the station has become something mythic, a sacrificial lamb to the cause of historic preservation. Unfortunately for commuters the current Penn Station leaves much to be desired it is and had been a dump for generations . New York Governor Kathy Hochul with New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy are not the first politicians to step in and attempt to fix the current mess but hopefully the time is right and commuters could see some relief .

George Washington Bridge Moves to Cashless Tolling on Sunday July 10th

Fort Lee NJ, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey today announced that a new electronic tolling system will be activated at the George Washington Bridge on Sunday, July 10. The George Washington Bridge (GWB) will be the largest and busiest of the agency’s three Hudson River crossings to completely modernize its tolling infrastructure to 21st century standards following activation of a similar system at the Holland Tunnel in December 2020.

Fairview NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ELISEO ESTRADA (DOB: 08/03/1961; single; car wash attendant) of Fairview, NJ on aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child charges.  The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Fairview Police Department under the direction of Chief Martin Kahn.
