Trenton NJ, according to Assemblyman Kevin J. Rooney, the New Jersey Senate and General Assembly passed the FY2024 State Budget on Friday, June 30, 2023. Of this total, nearly 20% — or $10 billion — is surplus, giving New Jersey a “rainy day fund” that is at an all time high. What this budget failed to provide, however, was real tax relief for the majority of New Jerseyans.
