One notable incident saw Ramsey Fire and Ramsey Rescue units swiftly dispatched alongside the Upper Saddle River Fire Department to address a fully involved garbage truck fire.
Ramsey NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of NICHOLAS L. TODARO (DOB: 8/10/1987; single; unemployed) of Orangeburg, NY on arson charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit under the direction of Chief Jason Love, and the Ramsey Police Department under the direction of Chief Brian Lyman.
Wyckoff NJ, a tragic incident occurred in which a 79-year-old woman lost her life in a fire that consumed a home on Meer Avenue. Here are the key details:
Ramsey NJ, Ramsey Firefighter Kerry Conklin has been chosen as the “Icon of the Year” from the Ramsey Junior Womans Club for 2023. Kerry has been a member since 2009 and now serves as one of our Lieutenants. Kerry is a life member of the New Jersey State Firefighters Association. She also received the “Volunteer of the Year” award from the Mayor and Council in 2011. Kerry also serves on the Public Education Committee working with Fire Prevention providing valuable educational material about fire safety and prevention to the schools.

Working fire at Bears Cove this afternoon. Ramsey Fire Department, Rescue, Police, EMS and OEM responded. Fire was knocked down quickly. All safe and sound including these little guys.
Ramsey Nj, Thursday morning at approximately 6:40am the Ramsey Fire Department was alerted to a possible structure fire on Lakeview Drive. First responding units arrived and confirmed a working fire in the attic of a single family private dwelling and requested the working fire assignment bringing in mutual aid from Wyckoff, Allendale and Mahwah Fire Departments . Responding units quickly extinguished the fire and had it under control at approximately 7:30am. No injuries were reported .
Mahwah NJ, the Ramsey Fire Department responded into the township of Mahwah yesterday morning with a ladder truck for a fire inside of a warehouse. The fire was quickly knocked down by the Mahwah Fire Department, Ramsey Fire crews assisted in overhaul and ventilation.
Ramsey NJ, Multiple ambulances were dispatched to aid the victims of a two (2) vehicle, early Saturday evening, 07/10, crash on Route 17 southbound near Franklin Turnpike, Ramsey. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and removed from the scene by separate flatbed tow trucks. Ramsey Police, Ramsey EMS, Ramsey Rescue, and Ramsey Fire department responded to the incident. Ramsey Police implemented a full closure of Route 17 southbound immediately following the crash, then opened a single travel lane after all victims and one (1) vehicle were removed from the highway. The highway was completely re-opened within 60 minutes of patrol officers’ arrival at the scene.
Ramsey NJ, the two southbound lanes on Route 17 in Ramsey were reopened after lanes in both directions were closed for much of the day Friday after a truck hit a utility pole.
