Cliffside Park NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of EDUARDO CAMACHO (DOB: 5/02/1994; single; unemployed) of Cleveland, Ohio on charges of aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Cliffside Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Marc Marano.

17-year Old Driver and Her Teenage Passenger Escaped Serious Injury in a Late Tuesday Morning Accident in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, a 17-year old driver and her teenage passenger escaped serious injury in a late Tuesday morning, 06/20, single vehicle crash at the intersection of Heights Road and Monte Vista Avenue, Ridgewood that resulted in the front right wheel of their vehicle being sheared off. The driver, who did sustain a very minor leg injury, was treated at the scene by Ridgewood Fire Department EMTs, but declined ambulance transport to a local hospital. No injuries were reported by the passenger. Ridgewood firefighters also attended to a crash related fluid spill. A flatbed tow truck removed the damaged Mercedes from the scene. Police at the scene did not say whether any summonses were issued in connection with the mishap.

Boston Ma, the US Coast Guard is searching for five persons after the Canadian research vessel Polar Prince lost contact with their submersible during a dive, approximately 900 miles east of Cape Cod, Sunday morning. A Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, North Carolina, C-130 Hercules aircraft, as well as a Canadian P8 aircraft equipped with underwater sonar capability, are currently searching for the missing submersible.

Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department Dispatched to a Home on Meadowbrook Road for Eclectic Scooter Fire

Wyckoff NJ, the Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a home on Meadowbrook Road for a reported basement fire. Upon the crews arrival, it was determined to be a fire in the garage of the home. A second alarm assignment was transmitted. The fire was knocked down with minimal extension. Thank you to the mutual aid that responded to the scene or provided coverage.

According to sources the blaze was caused by lithium-ion batteries in an electric scooter.

Lithium batteries have become widely popular due to their high energy density, longer lifespan, and rechargeable capabilities. However, they do come with some potential dangers and require proper care to ensure safety. Here are some important points to consider:
