North Bergen NJ, Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin, the New Jersey State Police (NJSP), and the New York Police Department (NYPD) today announced the seizure of 100 guns and 200 large capacity ammunition magazines (LCMs) that were stolen in transit between a Vermont firearms importer and a Louisiana weapons wholesaler last week. Most of the recovered cargo was found stashed in a Hudson County storage facility. A New Jersey woman has been charged with unlawful possession of the weapons and related offenses.

COVID-19: Voters Lose Trust in “Experts”

Ridgewood NJ, more than three years after “15 days to slow the spread” of COVID-19, most voters have less trust in “government health experts” – and in the news media, too.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 50% of Likely U.S. voters say the way the government handled the COVID-19 pandemic caused them to have less trust in public health officials. Thirty percent (30%) say the government’s pandemic response caused them to have more trust in public health officials, while 18% say it did not have much impact. The 20-bike secure bicycle parking enclosure outside the Midtown Bus Terminal offers innovative, secure bike storage options through an agency partnership with Brooklyn-based company Oonee, which maintains several bike parking pods in New York and New Jersey.

His detention comes almost one year after the company he cofounded, Terraform Labs, collapsed, leading to the loss of billions of dollars in digital currency markets last year.

Paramus NJ, teens in a stolen SUV tried to escape police and crashed, sending a police officer and two women to the hospital . The driver, 17, slammed into two cars, a police cruiser and a Lexus with the two female occupants during a car chase that ended near Century and Paramus roads late Wednesday night according to Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg.

Hoboken NJ, On Sunday, March 19th, NJ TRANSIT Police Officers, Port Authority Police Department, and Hoboken Fire Department responded to an active fire at the Hoboken Bus Terminal. NJTPD Officers moved all commuters and non-essential personnel to safety and the fire was extinguished without injury. Surveillance footage captured the incident and the suspect believed responsible for intentionally causing the fire.⁣

Paramus Law Enforcement Officer Graduates from FBI National Academy

Paramus NJ, Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg announced that Lieutenant Brian P. McGovern has graduated as a member of the 285th session of the FBI National Academy. The graduation took place at the National Academy in Quantico, Virginia on March 16th, 2023. Lt. McGovern is the fourth officer in department history to complete this prestigious program. Nationally, fewer than one percent of officers have the opportunity to attend the program.

Ridgewood Village Council Moves Forward with a Resolution Supporting the “Green Amendment” Despite Wanting to Clear Cut Trees at Schedler

Ridgewood NJ, at the March 22 Village Council work session, the five council members agreed to move forward with a resolution supporting the Green Amendment which, hopefully, will go to a state-wide vote to change the State Bill of Rights.  As Deputy Mayor Perron reported, this amendment would provide citizens of the Garden State with the inalienable right to potable water, clean air, a clean and healthy environment, the preservation of natural and healthy habitats, and the scenic qualities of the historic environment.  Perron went on to explain that if the Council moves forward with this, it will give a message to the State that Ridgewood thinks this is a good idea.

Teaneck, Hackensack and Englewood Fire Fighters Converge on Teaneck Residence for a Quick Knock Down

Teaneck NJ, Wednesday at 4:50pm City of Hackensack Fire Department Deputy 1 and Ladder 1 responded mutual aid to 108 West Englewood Avenue, Teaneck on a working structure fire. Teaneck firefighters quickly extinguished the fire confining it to the room of origin. Englewood Fire Ladder and Safety officer were also on scene.
