Ridgewood NJ,  NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife celebrates Amphibian Week .That’s right – this whole week, May 2-8, has been proclaimed National Amphibian Week by the U.S. Department of the Interior.  Amphibians are tiny powerhouses for the ecosystem and the soundtrack to many of our spring nights, yet they’re one of the most at-risk wildlife groups on the planet.  The Division of Fish and Wildlife is celebrating these valuable, vulnerable, cool (blooded) friends with daily social media posts all week, so follow along @newjerseyfishandwildlife and on Facebook!

Hackensack NJ, Governor Phil Murphy on Monday over  twitter  announced  the new , “We’re launching our “Shot and a Beer” program to encourage eligible New Jerseyans ages 21+ to get vaccinated. Any New Jerseyan who gets their first vaccine dose in the month of May and takes their vaccination card to a participating brewery will receive a free beer.

Bergen Construction Company and State Contractor Payroll Manager Pleads Guilty In Employee Wage Fraud Scheme

Montvale NJ, Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal announced that the payroll manager for a Bergen County construction company pleaded guilty today to demanding cash kickbacks from employees and failing to pay them for numerous hours of work to circumvent prevailing wage rules on public works projects. The company, UniMak, LLC, of Saddle Brook, N.J., entered into a non-prosecution agreement with the Attorney General’s Office last month under which it agreed to pay $1 million to seven employees who were cheated out of earned wages.
