The IC3 has received complaints reporting cybercriminals are targeting the online payroll accounts of employees in a variety of industries. Institutions most affected are education, healthcare, and commercial airway transportation.

Upper Saddle River NJ, Major breakthrough in a 10-month community investigation started back in January 2018 by GreenUSR activist and resident of Upper Saddle River Derek Michalski.
Ramsey, Mahwah, Upper and Saddle River. Over the weekend residents from Ramsay, Mahwah and Upper Saddle River met for the second weekend in a row on the property that was featured in April 23, 2018 CBS New York Evening News coverage. We all remember Channel 2 Lisa Rozner’s report from 5 months ago about those infamous hoses pumping mud into Upper Saddle River stream directly from 100 acre site that had arsenic in the past.* Since that day very little has been done to stop the mud pumping that is occurring now 24/7 according to eyewitnesses. Last weekend the site was visited by Richard Wolf, Chairman of Mahwah Environmental Commission. This weekend Councilwoman Janet Ariemma took initiative and also met with residents and visually inspected continuous mud discharge into the Pleasant Brook.

Wyckoff NJ, A former senior vice president of a national demolition company today admitted accepting $341,052 from the chief executive officer and from the president of a scrap metal company to steer business to them, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.
Frank Aiello, 53, of Wyckoff, New Jersey, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton in Newark federal court to an information charging him with conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

Question:
In addition to the regular budget, shall the Ho-Ho-Kus Board of Education raise an additional $450,000 in taxes for the 20182019 school year? These taxes will be used to restore cocurricular clubs and athletics that the Board of Education eliminated from the budget, hire an additional teacher, hire a security aide, and pay for technology equipment costs and the Board of Education’s STEAM program. Approval of these taxes will result in a permanent increase to the tax levy.

Hackensack NJ, News 12 New Jersey reports that Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi visited the office in Hackensack herself Monday after receiving a complaint by New Jersey resident Monica Brinson on the poor service and rude employees. Brinson says that she has visited the office many times seeing benefits and says that she felt as if she was treated like an inmate.

Oakland NJ, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the charging of Oakland Police Officer DANIEL KERN of Oakland, NJ (DOB: 10/28/1981; married; employed by the Borough of Oakland) on two charges of Assault By Auto, and MICHAEL FAHY of Franklin Lakes, NJ (DOB: 1/20/1981; single; self-employed) on a charge of Hindering Apprehension Of Another. The charges are the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.

Paramus NJ, Wednesday, October 3, 2018, will mark the Forty-Second Anniversary of the line of duty death of Police Officer Michael P. McEllen. Officer McEllen was killed while responding to a call of an activated burglar alarm during the early morning hours of October 3, 1976. Officer McEllen left behind his wife and two young children. McEllen, was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam.
Paramus Police ask that we all take a moment to remember both, the sacrifice that Officer Michael McEllen made on that day and all of those who have sacrificed their lives for this Community and Nation.

Paramus NJ, A two (2) vehicle, Tuesday afternoon, 10/02, collision at the intersection of Linwood Avenue West and Paramus Road in Paramus resulted in heavy damage to both vehicles involved. The adult female driver of a silver colored SUV reported chest pains, but refused medical attention at the scene. Ridgewood Police assisted Paramus Police with traffic control until a tow truck could remove both wrecks from the roadway. No word from Paramus Police officers at the scene as to whether any crash related summonses were issued.

Rutherford NJ, according to Matthew Gibson, this referendum was not to “fix schools” it was to make superficial changes like a taxpayer funded turf field for lacrosse and do things which would not affect education at all.
Gibson commented ,”They wanted to spend $53 million, of which about approximately $0 was for education. $5 million to literally bulldoze the high school poll, another $5 million to replace it with a new cafeteria. $2.5 million to turf some open space behind the HS, $3+ million to remove a playground and my personal favorite building new chemistry labs without windows which is totally safe”
Referendum Rejected
Dear Parents, Students, Faculty, and Staff,
The Rutherford community has voted to reject the proposed $53M referendum to improve our school facilities. While this is a disappointing result, we still need to provide adequate space for our growing enrollment and create environments to support our students academically. We will examine our plan to determine if there is a less encompassing alternative that could still give us more classroom space and make the district compliant with federal and state mandates, even if it does not fulfill all of our needs.
