Fair Lawn NJ, on Sunday morning, October 6th, traffic on Route 208 northbound near Saddle River Road in Fair Lawn came to a slow crawl as Fair Lawn Fire Department crews responded to a vehicle fire on the highway’s shoulder. The blaze, which originated in the engine compartment of a parked 4-door Dodge sedan, was quickly extinguished by firefighters.

Fair Lawn NJ, The former ShopRite property on River Road in Fair Lawn has been sold to a developer with big plans for revitalizing the site. TFE Properties, an East Windsor-based developer known for both commercial and residential projects, purchased the 93,000-square-foot property in mid-August. The site, which includes the vacant ShopRite building, a Walgreens, and an adjacent strip mall, is set for a major facelift and new commercial tenants.

The incident occurred in the 400 block of River Road, Fair Lawn. Fair Lawn Police investigated the crash. A flatbed tow truck hauled away the wrecked Ford.

Fair Lawn NJ, late Thursday evening, July 11, a tragic road rage incident on Berdan Avenue in Fair Lawn escalated into violence when an elderly male passenger from one of the involved vehicles exited to speak to the other driver and was allegedly run over intentionally. The victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. Fair Lawn EMS, assisted by a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital, provided emergency medical care on the scene.

Fair Lawn NJ, three (3) occupants of a Ford Edge escaped injury late Saturday afternoon, 06/15, when their vehicle crashed through a fence and into a tree while attempting to park in the lot of an IHOP restaurant located on Broadway in Fair Lawn. A flatbed tow truck removed the vehicle from its predicament. Fair Lawn Police responded to investigate the crash.

Fair Lawn NJ, a minor Friday morning, 06/14, hit-and-run crash on Route 80 westbound in Saddle Brook involving a Honda Accord and a Dodge Ram pick up truck, lead to a more serious crash in Fair Lawn, followed by a high speed pursuit shortly thereafter through Fair Lawn, Paterson, and Hawthorne. The adult female driver of the Honda Accord was taken into custody after she fled from the Morlot Avenue, Fair Lawn crash site at high speed, and would not yield to pursuing police officers until they trapped her vehicle in a private driveway on Heights Avenue in Fair Lawn.
